Well this has been going on for three or two days now and I cant seem to find an answer, even IN the wiki help. So I will state my issue below, if you need my system specs I will gladly put them in on edit, but I don't think they are needed until someone lets me know.
Well after Sims 2 has been freezing on me like forget it, I decided to just uninstall, as much as I hate to and such. Maybe that's cause I'm a lazy fatty? Oh well. Anyway. The issue before was the percentage stopped like 57% or 67%, can't quite remember, and also I can't remember the full name of the issue but it says like. "Can't transfer file." And said something with N001, and I don't remember what it was for, most likely a neighborhood number? Anyway.. than it turned to something else, stopping at 57% and saying.
"A problem occured when trying to transfer the file
'E:\Base\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods\N001\Lots\N001_Lot1.package' from the media.
Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation?"
So of course after searching online I saw someone said something similar and kept hitting retry, and it eventually worked, but not for this gal. It wants to be a total fat cow. I don't see any scratches, dust, or fingerprints on my disc. Or any dust in my CD/DVD drive thing.. what could it be? A bad file?..
