Can I bring back deleted Sim Household?

I deleted them a while back and I was wondering if they can be restored. If i look in my sims files under "saves" I see that the family I deleted is in a backup file called "snnchz.sims3.backup" is there anything I can do to restore the family? :bunny:

Try renaming snnchz.sims3.backup to snnchz.sims3.
