The Flavian Amphitheatre, better known as the Colosseum, was constructed in 80 AD. It provided spectacular entertainment to roman citizens. The inaugural games are said to have lasted for one hundred days. They were extremely elaborate and consisted of gladiatorial combat, animal fights, mock naval battles, horse races and chariot races. During the games wooden balls, inscribed with various prizes, were thrown into the crown and could later be traded in for the specified item.

Now you too can have a piece of ancient Rome!

Have your angry sim gladiators fight in the arena,

Or sit them in the emperor’s booth and give the thumbs up or thumbs down.

Then again you could sit in the middle or upper class seats.

The top level is standing room only for those of the lower class.

The middle level is for middle class.

The lower level is for the senate and others of the upper class

and the emperor’s booth.
