From The Sims 3:
This executive home features multiple living areas and a stately home office. It is perfect for operating the family business... or accommodating the family that -is- the business.

Villa Alto is my favorite Sims 3 base game house. It might even be my favorite house in the entire Sims series. I love the tacky furnishings and poorly landscaped yard, and it's a house I play a lot in The Sims 3. I have been looking around to see if anyone had created a new version of the house in The Sims 4 and haven't seen any other than a few floating around Gallery (you can find this house there as well). So I am jumping at the chance to be the first one to upload a version of this home for The Sims 4 on ModTheSims!

I originally built this home back in October 2014 and have been making steady (slight) changes to it ever since. This Sims 4 version is for the most part faithful to its original counterpart, although I took a few creative liberties. These new small changes include changes to the positions of certain items, adding an extra wall in the entry way to make the living area its own room (as opposed to it being all one open room in The Sims 3), the addition of a shower in the master bathroom and a grand piano (which isn't in The Sims 3 base game) on the second floor. The yard is slightly different than the original, being on a 50x50 lot instead of 60x60 in The Sims 3. Obviously garages are of no use (and can't be built) in Sims 4 so far, so I added a small gazebo-type sitting area with a fountain instead. The large pool seen in The Sims 3 has been changed to a lap-pool, but works really well (surprisingly) with the yard. The layout of the house is completely the same as the original other than the added wall and arch doorway on the first floor.

There are a few more details I added to certain parts of the house that were not in the original as well (such as columns in the archways and the aforementioned grand piano) but these are mostly decorative. I tried (and mostly succeeded) to keep the house as faithful to the original as possible, while also updating it with some new things to it to make it fit with The Sims 4. I sincerely hope you enjoy this home as much as I do.

Base Game Only. No CC.
