This mod will only work if you believe in the power of friendship.
Uhm, my bad, I got this confused with My Little Pony.
Developed and tested on game version 1.67.
- New Terrain Interaction: Play on Puddle (was previously in Child2Toddler2Baby)
This is its right place. Download the updated version (19th April 2017 or a later version) of that mod or you'll have a double.
With a toddler as active Sim, click on a puddle (a rain one from Season EP or a regular one) and the little milk drinker
will go wild... for fun and loss of hygiene (this may seem counter-intuitive but my reasoning is that diaper or bottom part
of the outfit gets wet). It also works autonomously.
Note: Replaced the splashing sound (was way too loud) with a quieter one (fx_pond_splash instead of hottub_splash)
- Replaced PlayOnSand (Terrain.PlayOnSand and PlayOnSandJig.PlayOnSand) with a version that allows
toddlers too to play on terrain and sandbox.
Officially Generations is required.... but me thinks only officially, all assets seems to be in the BaseGame files,
but still I've kept the check on the CodeVersion in the related ITUN resources.
Note: toddlers' animations are way more repetitive than children's.
Note: playing on sand (on the terrain paint) works autonomously only on beach-type lots
(not my doing, but sounded about right so I didn't feel the need to change it).
Toddlers can't learn the hidden skill, they won't create a castle, so they will keep messing with the mound.
Little fix: I've also overriden (?) the related xml to reduce the max duration from 24 sim-hours to 3 sim-hours,
but regardless of the duration now the interaction gets interrupted if motives are critical.
Question: "Ask to join" didn't work even w/o the mod, right?
Note: don't eliminate sandCastles with the cheat (or does that comes from a mod?) SHIFT+CLICK Object...
Destoy (or Eliminate, not sure about the English localization). Doing that will leave the related jig behind
(a jig is an object used to reserve a space, to make room for something, usually an animation)
- New Terrain Interaction: EatSnow (Seasons Required).
The BrainFreeze moodlet also acts as cooldown (no pun intended): while active,
Sims can't use the interaction autonomously.
- New Objects Interaction: Dance (works on Stereo, BandInstrument, KaraokeMachine and JukeBox)
While listening to the rock station on the stereo (Seasons required, but I'm not so sure if that station is really
used, so I've also included Electronica to be safe) or to a rock jam session, toddlers can use the head-banging
animation as seen on the screenshot. If you dislike that, it can be easily disabled.
You may recognize the "turn" animation, it's modified from the age transitioning animation.
- New scripted object: a box of crayons. If in a toddler inventory, can be used to scribble on walls.
The object itself and the prop used in the animations are pretty lame. Found in BuyCatalog:
I've clearly used the streeArt/tagBag as reference, and being lazy I've kept its system for
storing images (they are material-states of the mesh), so there's no xml database easy to modify
to add new pictures. Sowwy!
Note: placing the frame on the wall is user-directed only, but once placed Sims will scribble autonomously.
Scribbling on walls increases the painting skill, but it's clamped at level 3 (to be in line with
similar existing things: mirror/charisma, blocks/logic, etc).
Toddlers with the Artistic trait will have more pictures to choose from (others will catch up on level up)
and have the exclusive on the last 2 pictures (there are 12 pictures in total).
- Don't ask me why the toddler is holding the crayon with the left hand instead of the right one.
I'll try to fix it again after taking some time from this, to get a fresh perspective.
- After placing the frame, toddlers will start scribbling right away but then stop for a reason
I can't fathom (it's probably something trivial that I can't see right now)
- Toddlers can select the scribble interaction just to be notified that they don't have crayons
in their inventory. That was just a slip on my part, I've already fixed it but not yet uploaded.
Each interaction can be disabled from the CONFIGURATION xml. Some of the features
are more or less tunable.
This mod overrides the following resources, check with Dashboard if you already
have a mod the replaces them. If you also use Child2Toddler2Baby you'll get a conflict
report: it's all right, the two mods have a few animations in common.
