In an apartment lot, the landlord is tasked with certain duties. One of these duties is to garden. However, there is a very annoying problem. Maxis made it so that the landlord is allowed to ignore the tenants' privacy while gardening. The landlord is not allowed to ignore the tenants' privacy while cleaning, this is why if you make puddles inside your own apartment, the landlord does not come inside and mop the puddle. It is your own responsibility to clean your apartment. The exact same rule should also apply to gardening.

In an unmodded game, if you have a personal garden in an apartment, you will see that the landlord will simply walk inside your apartment and start gardening every single day: trimming, watering, pulling weeds, so on. I don't like it when the landlord can just walk inside like that. The only other situation in which the landlord will go inside your own apartment is when you call for the landlord. Even if you don't pay your rent, the landlord still rings the bell, instead of going inside the apartment.

The most annoying thing about the landlords gardening within your apartment is the following situation: if you have Seasons, you will see that trees shed their leaves in Autumn. Raking leaves and disposing of them are considered gardening by the game. When there are fallen leaves in the apartment lot, the landlord will start raking them. If the tree and its fallen leaves are close to your apartment (it does not seem to matter if your apartment is 10 floors above or on the ground floor) and when it is time to dispose of them, the stupid landlord will put the leaves in a bag, and instead of disposing of them in the main trash bin outside, or in the numerous trash chutes everywhere in the communal areas, they will dispose of the leaves in the trash bin or trash compactor within your own apartment (which may be multiple levels above ground floor). This annoyed me so much, that I finally came to the conclusion that allowing the landlord to ignore the tenants' privacy while gardening was a bad idea. I have a feeling that Maxis did not play any apartment lots for too long with Seasons installed (especially during Autumn), so they did not know about this problem.

This simple mod changes a single line in the "Landlord - Garden" BHAV: it changes "Ignore Tenant Privacy? = 1" to "Ignore Tenant Privacy = 0", preventing the landlord from gardening within your own apartment. From now on, your gardens are your own responsibility. The landlord will take care of gardening only within communal areas, which is everywhere outside individual apartments.

To unrar this mod, you need the latest version of 7zip or WinRar.

This mod modifies one resource in objects.package. Any other mod which modifies this will conflict with this mod:
