SimsPE disfunction?

I'm new at all of this, like 2 days new.
I wanna edit object meshes. I went for the seemingly very flawless mesh extracting. I go to SimsPE -> Workshop -> Select my object -> Clone it-> Open the packge -> Select the GMDC file (or whatever it was) and BANG! Error! It does not recognizes it.
So far I don't need anything else, but one thing: How can I fix that? I just need to get the meshes in a 3D Editor.
Well ,you guys?
P.S: I leave the cloning options by their default and save the file in a neutral directory.
I guess this might have happen before, but I'm kinda lost in this site. Tried looking for help. Don't even know if I was looking right, but the SimsPE site says nothing about it.

What sort of error message are you getting? Have you been able to do this in the past, or is this the first time you have tried to view the meshes?

For the preview window in Simpe, you need Managed DirectX, I believe.
The 'Managed' bit is important here.
There's a link on the Simpe site (on the page where you download it is a 'software needed to run Simpe)

Are you using it with Seasons installed? SimPE has not yet been updated for Seasons.

As far as I know, SimPE should be able to clone objects just fine even when it's not compatible with all the EPs you have installed. I just wouldn't try to edit any neighborhood files with it.

Thanks for the concern you guys. So:
Well, I'm not editing neighbourhood files. I'm using the Objects Wizard and I don't think that's using those.
I've installed only the Base Game, University and Nightlife.
Managed Direct X - I got that. Some Summer 2004 edition. I hope that's good.
The error message that I get is:
*going and doing it all again and checking*
Aaaaaaaaah! It's working now. I guess it was the Direct X thingie. Ophhhh.
