We have the sims 2, 4 cd version bought from play.com. We had trouble getting the game to install on a pc in our house, it got stuck on 23%. However we fixed this by disabling any virtual drives on the pc, and removing the application Daemon Tools. We then applied the patch, with no problems.
Now we are trying to install the game on a different pc in the same house, it installed fine, no problems getting stuck, however the patch will not install. It asks for cd4, which we place into the drive, click ok, then the patch menu just dissapears from the screen and nothing is done. We have been trying for weeks to figure this out, trying to uninstall stuff etc, just cant figure it out any help appreciated before i snap the disc and mail it back to ea.
