View Full Version : Disappearing After Going On Vacation While At Work

There was a bug that was fixed in the BV patch, but I got the patch a little too late. When you send your family on vacation while one member is at work, when they return from their vacation and that member returns from work, the family goes back on "vacation" and disappears. I found the fix for the bug in the patch, but unfortunately my sims are still stuck somewhere between home and their vacation house. And I have realized that my saving often fixation gets me into trouble. I accidently saved while on my empty vacation lot, and now I don't know how to get my sims and their house back to normal working condition.

I cannot get into their house because they are on vacation, and when I get to their vacation house it takes me into Buy Mode because there is no family there. Their friends can have them come over, but not move in. I can't move the family into the Families Bin, because they have to be in their main house for that. I can't move their house into the Lots and Houses Bin, because they aren't in it. I even tried killing them from a friend's house to see if that would free up their house, but it still says their dogs and baby live there!

I don't care about the family. It was a new family, and I have the actual sims saved. I just need the house back! I spent way too much time and effort on it to just lose it to sims who are completely unaccessible. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2Pages/Sims2_Teleporters.htm In the past, when sort of thing has come up, we have suggested the teleporter from Inge. Try teleporting them to another lot and moving them in. It should free the sims up and hopefully their home lot. Let us know how you get on. :)
