Hi,

Im trying to recolour the rabbit language toy, the new recololur looks fine when not being used but as soon as the toddler picks it up it reverts back to the original pink colour. When the toddler puts it down it goes back to my darker recolour. All i did was change the TXTR file in simPE to my new one so im assuming theres somthing else i need to do.

Any suggestions as to what im doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Did you just do a reclour or did you clone in SimPE? If you just did a recolour, try a complete clone, and give it unique GUID's, that might solve it ;)

thanks so much ive been tryin to work that out all day.

I cloned the object like you said and it stays black all the time now  , although it now shows the black version as the default in the catalogue (the pink is still there as well when u clickon the image) :wtf: oh well at least it works.

[Thread moved to "Object Creation - Recolouring": the Repair Service is reserved to the creators that provide a faulty package]

According to the CEP documentation, the language toy "Reverts to original when playing stops". This is caused by the game that modifies and re-creates the object when it is used. The toy was not meant to be recolourable, and therefore the internal code doesn't take in account a possible recolour applied to it. Without a global mod (that so far no one has created), the reverting problem is unsolvable.
