Well I guess this wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be ^^ I got inspired so here goes:

Task One:



Question One: So Miss Seikun, what first sparked your interest in acting?

Answer one: Please just call me Robyn, calling me Miss Seikun makes me feel like an old lady :P I first caught the acting bug in high school, Grade 9 drama class to be precise. It was the first High School class I ever had, and it was there I discovered my talent for acting. Our school did a musical every year, which I still go back to watch. My teacher, Mr. Michaels, encouraged me to try out for it and the rest is history! I owe him a lot, and I still consider him the best teacher I ever had.

Question Two: That’s certainly an interesting way to get started. So what else do you like to do in your spare time Robyn?

Answer Two: This’ll probably make me sound like a dork, but I love to read. I do it so much I used to get in trouble for reading under my desk back in grade school all the time! Another thing I love to do is spend time with my twin sister Rose and her family. Well….she’s not my twin biologically speaking, but we’re Irish twins so I call her my twin anyway. She’s married with a five year old daughter named Usagi. Here’s a picture of the two of us from Halloween last year. *hands picture* Bet you can tell what our favourite book is.

Question Three: That’s certainly sweet, I can see you care a lot about your family. Do you think you’ll be having one of your own anytime soon?

Answer Three: *laughs* Oh probably not, seeing as I’m single at the moment. But I absolutely love children, so I’ll defiantly have a family someday. I just have to find my Mr. Right first I guess *grins* Anyone know if Orlando Bloom’s seeing anyone?

I think it was just that it didn't fit the stereotype... and it didn't fit with the guidelines for the theme, like I suggested confident and brave for the hero. I understand what you were going for and I think your entry was creative. I didn't score it low so maybe one of the other judges could give more feedback.

Lilly: Thank you so much it is a pleasure to be here!

Harriet: OK, lets get down to business, what is your favourite thing about acting, is it the fame, the men .. the booze?

Lilly: No no no!!! My favourite thing about acting is being able to express myself naturally and I can be someone I am not for a day. It is very liberating. I LOVE the people I am working with at the moment and of course I am looking forward to working with others in the future.

Harriet: Wow! You are too sweet!! I was hoping for some juicy gossip! So, do you have a man in your life at the moment!

Lilly: Well, I've had a few dates with someone but it's nothing serious yet so I'm not really going to say anything .. apart from that he is amazing!!

Harriet: I knew we would get something out of you in the end! What's your favourite way to wind down in the evening or at weekends when your not working?

Lilly: I love spending time at my families villa in Miami and lazing around on our private beach. It is so calming and peaceful!

Jacob: No problem. Thanks for having me, Judy.

Judy: So, you are on the newest reality show 'The Next Big star.' I love the show by the way. So, how has the show been treating you? Enjoying your new found fame?

Jacob: It's great! I've always loved acting, and when the opportunity came to become 'The Next Big Star,' I jumped at the chance. It's great to finally be recognized for my talent, and the perks of fame are really great too.

Judy: What is it like to now be the only male in the competition?

Jacob: Well, actually, I kind of like it. I'm surrounded by so many beautiful women every day. I do feel very threatened by them all though. I mean, just look at them!

Jacob: Wow, everything about me. So much to say. My sign, I'm an Aries. My favorite color is Sage, my favorite holiday is Mardi Gras, of course. I love long showers, and my favorite time of the year is Autumn. There is just something amazing about the assortment of colors scattering across the sky. Playing in the leaves just makes me feel like a kid again.

[James] : Now everyone.. let's welcome our Guest, Nevaeh Alvarez!

[Screams and Clapping from Audience as Nevaeh walks in]

[Nevaeh] : Hey everyone! Hey James! It's a real deal to be here! New York is simply wonderful!

[James] : Thanks, Nevaeh.

[Nevaeh] : You're welcome. So.. shall we get started?

[James] : Gladly. Now, we had a million questions from your fans, but the really popular one was; How is fame and all treating you? Are you enjoying it, or hating it, etc..

[Nevaeh] : Well, I really do miss my family sometimes when being famous, but I really appreciate all they've been through so I can get here. But I really do enjoy the fame, and this kind of lifestyle. I've always wanted to be an actress since Middle School!

[James] : That's a very big dream to be kept for a very long time!

[Nevaeh] : Yeah, I know! It's very rewarding to know my work has been appreciated and awarded.

[James] : Your fans all know you for your acting. You've been stared in many theatre productions, ads, commericials and movies. Is there anything else that you have great talent at?

[Nevaeh] : Surprisingly, I do! Acting is just one of these things. I'm a really great singer, I used to be in a band when I was in High School as the lead singer. We had so many great deals and the fame and popularity at School was just AWESOME - but once one of our group members dropped out, the band sort of.. plummeted. Vanished, just like that.

[James] : Singing? Really?

[Nevaeh] : Yep. My other big talents would be modeling and dancing. I was born in Hawaii, and alot of dancing originates from there. As for modeling; I am currently a contestant in THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT PUSSYCAT DOLL (JW's Modeling Agency) and it's nice to have a slight change in fame and all.

[James] : Well, congratulations for continuing in that contest. Our favourite question submitted by your fans was; We heard you were in the Next Big Star! contest, and continuing onto Round 3. What is something you think was terrible about your rounds in this contest?

[Nevaeh] : Tricky..

[James] : [Laughing] You bet!

[Nevaeh] : The thing is that my first round, I loved it. The story was short yet simple, but the judges didn't like it and my score just plummeted.. BOOM! So then the next round, I pulled up my efforts - heck yeah, I had to die my hair BLONDE!! - even though I submitted a quick last minute entry, my score was a lot better but overall I ranked 8th which is unaceptable to me.

[James] : That's harsh.

[Nevaeh] : I don't see anything else I didn't like. I'm a pretty acceptable person, not that bit of a perfectionist, you know?

[James] : Well thank-you for coming here! We really do appreciate it, Nevaeh, especially flying from Beverly Hills to New York!

[Nevaeh] : Oh, no problem! I'd love to come back anytime soon!

Jack: Hello and welcome to the show Edie. Now, as your sitting let me ask you the one question I know all your fans are dieing to have answered: Are you dating Oron Childs, your co-star from your movie "The Prince's Wife"?

Edie: (laughs) You'd be amazed how often both of us get asked that question. As soon as an actor or actress does a romance movie, the relationship questions start buzzing. The answer, however, is no. We're really great friends and I hope we will be for a long time. He's a wonderful person. I just don't have time to date right now. I'm really focused on my career.

Jack: I can hear the disappointed groans from all the men watching at home right now. (smiles) Now Edie, it says here that you grew up in a very small town--population less than 500. That had to be rough as a teenager. Ever do anything that the whole town ended up finding out about?

Edie: (laughs) In a town that small word does spread fast. That goes for everything from who got a job at the local Dairy Queen to who had a run-in with the police. I fit into that first category by the way--the one gossiped about because I got a job at Dairy Queen and all my friends knew I'd give them free ice cream! (laughs)

Actually though there was one thing that made my name spread like wildfire through the town. I started a baseball team. Not softball. Baseball. We're an all-woman team and we play against the guys. It's a lot of fun. I still try to make it home for our season and that's something I really miss about being home. At first though, the town seemed to think I was crazy. I don't understand why they thought we could't play against men though. We've won a lot of games!

Jack: And I think we have a picture of that right here!

Jack: I'm sure you do win a lot of games. I'm not sure how the men on the other team could concentrate looking at a team full of beautiful women! So you came from a town so little, how in the world did you manage to come all the way from that little town to the silver screen? That seems like quite a leap.

Edie: Well, Jack, I did grow up in a small town. But we weren't totally isolated. There's actually quite a large city about 45 minutes to the west. My mom and dad enrolled me in an acting school there when I was 9, and I immediately loved it. I knew then that I wanted to be an actress. I went after my dream, and now, here I am!

Jack: And we're all thankful for that Edie. Truly, you're a wonderful person and I appreciate you taking the time to come visit with us today. Edie Whitmore everyone!

Nicola: I wasn’t sure if you’d be able to make it, with your busy schedule. You starred in that film, didn’t you, along with Romeo Deeley? We had him on yesterday. Not to mention various other things that you’ve been busy with… anyway. How are you enjoying your new ‘celebrity’ type lifestyle? (< Question One)

Lauren: Well, I wouldn’t say celebrity! *laughs* But it’s all been pretty good so far. I’ve made a lot of new friends in the industry, and I just love doing what I do. Acting has been a somewhat large part of my life since I was very young.

Nicola: Yes, yes, I hear you come from quite a large family. What were things like when you were a child? Did you get along well with your brothers and sisters? Are there any hobbies you’ve kept from way back then? (Question 2)

Lauren: Oh, I loved my family! They’ve always been very supportive of choices of made, and when I told them that I wanted to be an actress, they were overjoyed, and got me into as many drama activities as they could. Thanks to them, I’m as enthusiastic of my talents and other people’s as they were! I always say that if you’ve got talent, don’t ever waste it! I have a shot of us now, and my hobby? Playing about on the piano. I’ve never really had lessons, but I always have fun experimenting!

Nicola: Now, I have one more question for you; there have been rumours of a budding romance between you a co-star Romeo. Is there any truth in them at all? (Question… um… 3)

Lauren: *laughs* I’ve heard this one before, and it’s the same with any famous person people see me with. They’re like, ‘OHMIGOD, they have to be going out! Look at the way they’re walking down the street!!’ But don’t believe them; I couldn’t go out with Romeo! I know that it’s cliché to say, but he’s almost like my brother! We were really, really close friends on the set, and I doubt that’s going to change whatsoever.

Nicola: Good news for any Romeo fans out there, then! He’s still ours! *laughs* I’ve had fun talking to you, Lauren, and I’ll see you at the after party!

Fran That's right, I still can't believe it. But we're starting planning the wedding. We're looking for the perfect spot. Neither me nor Liam are religious so no churches, but we still want somewhere pictoresque. Well, Liam is not so fond on the planning part of the thing, but he's been very nice.

Adam Well, my dear, men usually are most interested in the first night of marriage. You know, there's a rumor about you and him. Is it true that he stole you to your previous boyfriend?
Fran I don't like that word, steal. It was my choice, and things with my ex weren't going so good. Then I met him on set and it was love a first sight, even though I didn't recognize it at first. It took all his efforts to get to me, since I wanted to be loyal to my ex until the end. And I was, nothing happened between me and Liam before I ended my previous relationship. He says it was exhausting to him.
Adam I'm sure it was worth it. Now tell me somthing about your next projecy.
Fran Yeah, it's a film on the fashion world. I'm a journalist who try to analyze it and sees a lot of the dark side. It's awful how current fashion endorse the image of the nearly anorexic model, making kids believe that is the right look. It's not, it's unhealty and also ugly, if you want my opinion. More than half of those 'supermodels' I find very ugly. I'm for the real woman with real beauty.

[laughs] I’m sick, actually. I have a nice cough, so I sound quite manly for you.

Francesca, let me make you some questions. How are you getting used to life in the spotlight?
When I look at how many shoes I have, I say, 'Wow!' I wake up every day and just go, 'I can't believe this is happening to me, this is great.' I am still me though - people always say that, but I really am. I just have a really good time and I love what I do.

How do you feel about all the media attention you get?
I have ignored it so much that when paparazzi are following me, I really don't see them any more. There are times when I am at basketball games and I am eating everything - nachos, hot dogs - and there's a picture of me. I'll see it and go, 'When did they take that?' and my publicist is like, 'Didn't you see the 100 cameras shooting you?' I keep forgetting they're there because I tune it out so much. Nobody wants to hear a celebrity complain, so I am not about to do that.

How do you cope with the pressures of fame?
I'm lucky to have a great family and great friends around me who are very grounding. I think the craziness comes when you start to believe your own hype, and you get caught up in all of the superficiality of our business. Penelope (my sister) gave me the best advice when she said, 'It's all about the work. Just always make it about the work and good things will come.'

Tom: So Carmen, how is Hollywood treating you these days? Aren't you in a competition of some sorts? Tell us about it...

Carmen: Well Tom, If I can get my foot in the door, I'm sure it will treat me fine. *laughs* I'm in a competition called The Next Big Star. Its basically for aspiring actors and actresses like myself to show off our acting talents in the hopes of making it big.

Tom: Wow Carmen that sounds interesting, I bet the competition is serious!

Carmen: You bet it is. I can't believe all the talent the folks in this competition are bringing!

Tom: How do you think you'll react if you should get a leading role?

Carmen: Thats like my dream come true Tom. I'll probably go crazy! But not too much celebration. Playing a role takes a lot of preparation. You really have to research your character. Become your character.

Tom: I bet. And I'm sure the competition will get tougher as the weeks push on. Hollywood is full of competition so you better get used to it. You'll be in front of the camera a lot. How do you keep your great appearance up so the bad paparazzi will stay away and the good paparazzi will keep snapping those amazing pictures?

*crowd laughter*

Carmen: You know Tom, its funny because I really havent changed my routine that much since the competition and trying to get my big break. I guess i'm normal just like everyone else. I workout, try to eat right and take care of my health. Speaking of working out, I do a lot of yoga at the gym. I try to go every morning. I guess you can say that is what keeps my appearance up.

I want to help the enviroment and basically i want to keep trees alive and heathly since a lot of them are dying out there and im in grief because of that and the trees are the things that keep us alive in the world! So basically what i'm trying to save them and you could call me an tree hugger!

Naomi : A tree hugger eh? Wow, thats the total opposite of acting isnt it?
How did you have intrest and passion for acting?

Marta : [laughs][nods] Yes, it is pretty much the total opposite but , when i was younger, my family and i didnt have a lot of money but we were fortunate to have a small tv in our small bungalow. We would always watch 'I Love Lucy" on it and I would laugh and wonder what it would be like to be in front of the screen acting for people. Then basically i said, i want to do this!

Naomi : Really? I love the show 'I Love Lucy'! It was on all time back in the day. Anyway , moving on, [laughs] i've heard from sources and other things that you have a husband. Do you have any kids or any other family.

Marta : Yes, my husband is andrew and actually he played a role in my round 1 of the contest, 'The Next Big Star' even though i didnt do very well that round. Im happy to be here now though. I dont have any kids, Andrews my only relative alive now. My parents both passed away a year back on a car accident.

Naomi : Oh , im very sorry to here.
Well thats basically all we have for today, we are glad you could make it and im happy we've got to know you a little better and your acting.

Marta : Glad i could make it Naomi!

Welcome Top 10 to the Final round of our competition! Congratulations on making it this far! You are all wonderful, and you all have a chance to win! So I hope you really bring the best you’ve got!

TASK 1

Your first task is an improv similar to the one in Round 1. Now, in order to pick the theme for this round, I looked through everyone’s confessionals in Round 2 to look at what genres you all suggested. Sci Fi, horror, and comedy were all popular. I figure the best thing to do is to give you a theme that will allow you to choose any of those that you want… Therefore, the theme is Fantasy.

This means that your scene must include some element of Fantasy, for example, it can be set in a futuristic world, or a medieval palace, or a place completely of your imagination! It can be scary (for example, a ghost story would fall into the category of fantasy, since it isn’t realistic), or Sci-Fi, or funny…. as long as there is something surreal or imaginary about it. If you aren't sure if your idea fits in, PM me and I'll let you know.

Since you’ve all done this kind of task before, I don’t feel like I need to give you a whole bunch of rules on it… If you want guidelines, you can refer back to round 1. However, since this is the final round, I’m going to expand the length of the scene required… You must have at least 10 lines of dialogue, and no more than 20. Narration and scene directions may be used as you wish. You also need 2-4 pictures. No more, no less. I know you all will do great!


TASK 2

Well, unfortunately, the end of our competition is near… For the final results ceremony, you all have been invited to attend a red carpet formal celebrating the end of the contest and the fabulous job you have all done!

The idea behind this task is pretty similar to last round, in which you were judged on the style of the outfit you wore to a party. This time, you will be wearing a formal dress or tuxedo. Once again, make sure it’s stylish and unique, while still being classy and elegant enough to wear to a black tie event.

For this task, you must take a picture of your sim posing in their outfit. It should be on a solid background that does not match the sim or the outfit. I will be photoshopping these into a group shot of our top 10 at the event. Yes, there really will be a group shot this time… If I can’t photoshop your picture easily I’ll probably ask you to change it. Your choice of attire will be judged so choose carefully!


TASK 3

As you all go out into the world of acting, one thing you definitely need is a headshot to submit to all those casting agencies looking for new faces! Typically, this is a black and white headshot, wearing natural makeup. So, your final assignment is to submit a picture like this. You should be looking at the camera and have a neutral expression. Wear little to no makeup. Keep your hair simple. And do your best to make your photo look good! Also, the photo should be on a solid background.

FINAL NOTES

As this is the final round, the winner will be announced after it’s over! Since this is the overall winner of the competition, the scores from all rounds will be included in determining the top places. However, your score on the final round will be weighted more heavily… The final round score will count as more than half of the final score, and the other part will be an average of your scores throughout the competition. So your past scores will count, but they won't be enough to doom you if you haven’t always scored high.

Perseus and the Gorgon

Perseus looked around the ruins of a once great garden. He had finally reached the end of his wearing journey. The exhilaration of finally reaching his destination added a quickening to his heart beat.

Perseus, thinking to himself: 'This place is so quite, not even the cheerful sound of birds I hear. She is here, somewhere. I know it.'

As Perseus trudged further into the garden, the faster his heart went.

The princess had travelled all night, through the cold and desolate woods of Wintershire forest. She was escaping an arranged marraige prepared by the king. She refused to marry the man chosen for her and chose to flee instead. During her travels she had become fatigued and fainted amidst the moss and trees. One of the Knights of Wintershire Palace had been summoned to bring the princess back to the palace to safety...

[Knight] Princess, princess are you ill? Please awaken and come with me to the palace where you will be nursed back to health.

This is a love story set in a far away time, a parallel universe, populated by extraordinary creatures, elves.

She was a beautiful creature named Enelya, young shiny. He, his future groom, was named Elros and was a valiant soldier. One day he was sent to kill a frightening creature and Enelya was left alone, waiting to hear from him.
Days passed without any news about Elros.


Enelya: Why, God, why did you want this? Why did you have to take the only love of my life away? What did I do to deserve it? Please, let me see him again the last time before I die!

As usual, these comments are mine, they don't reflect what the other judges were thinking.... The scores this round were pretty varied amongst the judges, so that might explain why my comments might not seem to match up with the total score you received. I'm sorry about that, I wish everyone made comments but they don't...

Comments: Your pictures are great! I can understand what you were going for with the story, but I wish it had been expanded a little more. Your formal shot is great and I love her pose. Nice job.

Fran Goldsmith:
Comments: Your pictures are nice, and I like the idea behind your script… I felt like it was a little too wordy in places, but overall you did a great job. Both your formal and B&W shots are wonderful.

Comments: Your scene is nice, it’s simple but creative. Good job! I wish your formal had been a little more fancy, it seems a bit out of place. Otherwise, you did a great job.
