View Full Version : 2nd music track has a high volume

I have set all my sound volume settings low in Sims 3 (in options) and it works out fine. When I get a loading screen (Loading a save, travelling in WA) or use CAS, the 2nd music track seems to ignore the volume setting and blast out at 100%. The music initially playing in the loading screens is playing at my desired volume.
This does not happen in Buy or Build mode. This "bug" or whatever it is is consistent, so it's not just som random thing.

Has anyone else experienced this? My Google-Fu has brought me nothing and I don't see any sound issues in technical FAQ's on the web.

This may be related, but when playing music on the stereos in Live mode, some songs seem to be really quiet while others are extremely loud. I've taken camera position and in-game stereo volume setting into account, but I can't seem to spot a pattern here. Some tracks are just loud while others are low.

In the Sims 3 options I use the low quality audio setting if that has anything to do with it. I also have WA and HEL with latest patches. No audio modifying custom content.

Thanks in advance.

The second track in map view and durring laoding is loud even on high quality audio settings, but the rest (steros, build, buy, etc..) are fine.

Aha, so I'm not the only one. Does anyone know of a fix or if it's a known bug by EA or anything.
