So I'm trying to recreate this house:

http://www.familyhomeplans.com/plan_details.cfm?PlanNumber=95004&src=search

I am having trouble with the windows on the front of it. The first floor went in fine, then the upper levels would not let me put windows. Also, I was not able to put windows in the little side pieces that jut out from the roof. I used "moveobjects on", which enabled me to place the windows, but after reloading the lot, the windows on the front are still not transparent. Also, I could not place windows on the third floor, only the second.

Any suggestions?

I can't tell for sure from your pictures, but it looks (picture 4) like you created the roof in one piece. That means that the two A-shaped walls are actually each just one piece. In order to place windows above your current windows on those walls, you will need to create those areas in sections. Places which will have windows must be a standard height wall (that is, 16 clicks). So, your roofs will need to be created in at least two sections: ground level and upper level. If you want to make the house weather proof, then you'll probably need three sections: ground level, upper level, and the (unusable) roof level.

Ok, I tried making the walls and then putting the roof on, but then it doesn't "connect" the slope of the roof to the walls (putting the sloped pieces of wall in between). And if I make the walls farther out and then put the roof on, there are pieces of wall jutting out from the roof. (I hope that makes sense) Am I doing something wrong?

Full-sized walls must be 3 tiles in from the bottom of the roof. Create your rooms for a level, then fill the roof space on that level with the Shed Gabled Roof, which will make the sloped walls. Move up to the next level and repeat.

That did work, thank you!
