After three days of trying and failing to convert Marvine's mermaid mesh, I decided to make my own.
However, it doesn't match up to the sim's waist.
It's an edit of the long Maxis skirt and it has its own vertex weights. It doesn't yet have any morphs, but changing the sim's weight doesn't help. I used Milkshape and CTU to make it.
I'll make it look nicer when I've sorted out this problem. :)

It's most likely the lake of morphs that is causing that. Sims are hardly ever are at exactly the base "weight."

OK, thank you. :)
I've improved the tail a bit and I'm going to make the morphs later on today.

You prolly need to match the boneweights arround the waist with a top

I did convert Marvine's mesh a while back and used the Ms3d bonefix file i once made to convert the bones.
You find it here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=407561

Im not to happy about the file and still not finished but you can have a look at it if you want. Still need to do something bout the lower lods and fix the textures
Ill try to finish it soon for upload.

btw,
I have spoken with Marvine and she gives all her sims 2 stuff free for conversions.
