View Full Version : WCIF a way to let my sim steal items from other lots?

I was thinking earlier how terrific it'd be if I could have my poor sim be able to steal items from other lots, community or residential. I have every EP except AL, BV, and FT so maybe an option to steal comes with those EPs and I just don't know about it. I searched "steal" in the Downloads of MTS and couldn't find what I was looking for. I googled it too, but only found that Sims 3 offers the option to have sims steal, which makes me feel extra sad now for not having Sims 3. :faceslap:
If anyone knows how I can have my sim steal on Sims 2 I'd really appreciate it. :anime:

Also, to kill two birds with one stone, does anyone know where I can download a decent looking (and useable) tent? Again I don't have BV so I have no tent. I searched MTS already, I'm just wondering if there's any others out there. :(

I use a mod called buy/build mode enabler located here on MTS. (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=204467) It says it's for pets, but it works for other early ep's up to seasons. There's also one for later ep's in the comments. I have a kleptomaniac sim who goes to community lots and takes anything he likes. All you have to do is access your inventory with this mod and put anything you want to steal in your inventory. My thief named Rory has stolen TVs, stereos, video games, computers, and furniture using this mod. It's also useful for poor musicians to make money by putting their instruments in their inventory and then playing for tips at crowded community lots.
~Edit~
This is the only thing I found that resembles a tent. It's really a bed though. It can be found here. (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=233762)
I hope this helps. :)

The "enable buy/build mode" hack Mimisim mentioned to you does work for "lifting" things from community lots... even the secret Witch lots in AL. I've done it quite often with my poorer (and dishonest) Sims. Greywolf3 ;)

I have sims that seem to bring things back from lots without having to do anything, seems its only when they at uni and the go for a walk on campus by themselves but they do the whole sneak back in thing and dump items in the oddest place then get mad because they cant go round it! stupid sims! Its helpful though as gives them that extra bit of money for a poor uni student!

That happens at Greek lots, I think. They "Visit Campus" and bring back pizza or other items.

YES THANK YOU SO MUCH! :anime: I'm very excited to have my sim start stealing everything! :P
And for the tent, I already have that tent downloaded, but thank you still. :) I appreciate having that tent, but I was just hoping for something more realistic.
Thanks again for the help! :gjob:
