Custom Prop hacks

I want to make custom props for Sims 3 similar to Sims 2, created by Decorgal & Adele, http://www.modthesims.info/d/351524 but I can't find tutorials on this.
Has anyone attempted to add props to Sims 3?

Not exactly in the way those were done but traelia's Camera Pose Pack (http://www.modthesims.info/d/472605) has a prop. Most things can probably be done as an accessory and custom poses can be made to look right with the props. There's several meshing tutorials in the tutorials section that can teach you pretty much anything you need to know about creating accessories and traelia has written a tutorial (http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorial:Sims_3_Making_Poses) on how to make custom poses.

Has anyone attempted to add props to Sims 3?For Sims 3 poses props can be made as objects or accessories. A hack isn't required if you use objects. I wrote a tutorial showing how to make poses and the thread includes instructions on how to use a .obj as a prop to allow you to pose your model with the object mesh. The tutorial is here and questions in the thread for it are fine:
