How do I get a Custom User Title?

Under "Edit Profile" I've filled in a custom title under "About Me / Profile Box Title" and then the same under "Customised Profile Title" because I wasn't sure which was which. I'm still listed as "Alchemist", though... I gave it about an hour. Am I doing it wrong? I know it says, "Featured Creators only" for the profile title option, but I've seen other members with customizable titles that didn't appear to have featured downloads listed...one who has no downloads listed at all...so I'm perplexed.

The profile title shows up on your profile - so for instance, mine (www.modthesims.info/creator/whiterider) says "Products of whiterider's Insanity", right at the top. That's available for all featured creators.

The custom title under "About Me" is the title of the very top box of the overview tab on your profile - mine says "Links". It's available for all creators, but if you haven't put anything in the About Me box, it won't show up on your profile, so neither will its title. :)

The custom user title is only available to staff, donators, and a select few random individuals who we bestow a title (not generally one of their choosing) upon when we're feeling silly. You don't have an option for it. :)

Notice that donators was one of the groups listed. If you want a custom title, try donating to MTS.

Eh, we're not trying to sell custom titles though. Donate to MTS because you want to donate to MTS - if you do want to donate to MTS :p - the custom title is just a way of saying thanks.

I would happily donate $15 to the site but I'm not sure how keen I am on making that a monthly contribution. Does it have to be? I understand you're not selling custom titles. I've always meant to donate to MTS over the years but never found the initiative... (lazy). Now seems like as good a time as any since I do want a custom title. ;)

I believe you can cancel your monthly donation after one month expires, custom title should stay though.

If you cancel your subscription the MTS Addict usergroup gets reverted, which means that the custom title will no longer work. Those people who aren't part of that group and have custom titles are usually very old members who have contributed in some way, or when the staff are being silly, or the reverting didn't work properly. But the key thing here is that you should only donate if you want to - and only do a recurring subscription if you want to help the site out for a while.
