I was wondering if this has been suggested yet? I'm using custom careers right now with the Twallan's mod, and I usually just adjust their Lifetime Aspiration accordingly (usually the riches one or whatever) but I was wondering if it was possible to create your own?

I don't think it's possible. Because new lifetime wish means new gameplay. which is one of the EPs specialists. it's not quite possible to make one though you can create custom careers.

What? Why do you think a new LTW would be impossible unless there was "new gameplay" attached? I can't see it being too difficult to make a new one to get to the top of a custom career.

I believe that someone on the naughty sims asylum managed to change some LTWs. I think they changed the Architect career to 35 perfect scores rather than 100. Of course, it's still too hard for me - the doofus so I'd like it changed to just level 10 of the career or 35 "good" or better reviews. Has anyone ever managed the 100 perfect scores in normal lifespan btw?

Anyway, I don't see how changing them would make such a huge gameplay thing. I'd like to see more varieties of "max this skill and this other skill". One I think about would be "Great Outdoorsman" - Max fishing and gardening.

It is perfectly possible to add a brand-new LTW :) Just hard enough that very, very few have been done. VelocityGrass is the expert -- her tut on how to do it: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorial:Sims_3_New_LTW

The tuts and forums under the Create menu, btw, are where you'd find help on modding questions.

Tweaks like this can be managed with simple XML modding. http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorial:Sims_3_XML_Tuning_Modding

Quite a lot simpler than making a brand new one from scratch :)
