View Full Version : Crashing for no apparent reason- again

To be honest, I haven't tested if it was a CC issues, but it's done this before then it just sorta stops so I doubt it is. The game is crashing while trying to move Kaylynn Langerak into the trailer home apartments. I have deleted the groups.cache file with no change. I have plenty of available space so that isn't it. I was going to test renaming the sims 2 folder so it would generate a new one, but when I tried to rename it it said it was already open, which it wasn't. I'm going to try again to see if it improves anything in a bit. I'm also going to test if the lot of Kaylynn is the cause. (Moving another sim into the lot in question, moving Kaylynn into a different lot)

I'm running a 64 bit Windows computer, which is more likely to be the problem.
I am also unsure if my game is patched. I have all EPs and SPs, but I have the collection packs for OFB, Pets, and University.

Sorry if I've just foolishly missed a step but I'm worried my neighborhood that is only like a week old is going to die soon.

EDIT: Sims crashes when another sims moves into the trailer park, No issues moving Kaylynn into another apartment. Corrupted lot possibly?

I do recall that one of the AL trailers was problematic. Did you edit the lot in any way?

No, I didn't. I had never heard it had had issues. That would explain a lot. Would editing it fix it?

EDIT: Actually, I think I got rid of a closet before when a different sim had moved in.

Since you don't know if you're patched, try patching anyway. Patching an already patched game won't hurt and will fix, if not this, then other issues.

I patched all of the single expansions and stuff packs I have. I believe I read somewhere that the collection packs were already patched, so I left them alone. My game seems to be working fine now that I got rid of the trailer park.

Yeah. I don't plan on using them again. Also the link isn't loading. Facebook has been refusing to load for me today too, so it must be my computer.
