with sims 3 custom clothing that changes the way ur sims body is shaped? I get so annoyed when I have found the perfect outfit for a sim to wear, get it & thn load up my game and put the clothing on...

thn my sim has a non existent waist & breasts the size of yankee stadium

I try to make my sims bodies look natural, so you could think of how annoyed I get when these custom clothes make my sims look like disfigured barbie dolls....

I liked body changing meshes in the sims 2 due to the fact that we had limited control of how their bodies were shaped, but in the sims 3 with the regular game's built in tools + the custom sliders that people have created... we really have no need for these body shape changing meshes

I think that people should AT LEAST give some kind of warning ahead of time that the outfits ur downloading form them will mess with your sim's shape...

That's what you get when you have people making crap CC. All in all, the pool of CC in TS3 is much smaller than it was in TS2, probably because most of the recolorists are out of business now. Incidentally, you should stop downloading garbage CC anyway. Most of it is generic crap, and some of it will just flat out crash your game.

This I totally concur. I usually try to pick carefully which CC goes into my game so it's all somewhat quality and during these years I've learned that CC make-up, skins or anything texture-like you put on your sim, (also accessories I think) Don't crash the game. BUT the CC clothing in other hand does. The sad thing here's that it's so tough to know when that clothing is good enough so it won't break your game cuz I've had some really quality looking clothing in my game and still it has managed to crash the game eventually. I wonder what exactly is in the CC clothing especially that is causes crashing so easily. :|

And I feel the same about the stuff nomannoah said. Some nice CC lingerie I had changed the sim body type in such ugly way :P

That's probably because we no longer need 10,000 recolors for everything. >.>;

That's what he said directly after what you quoted.

Making (good) TS3 CC is also harder than making TS2 CC, I'm told... more polys, morphs, everything. Next-gen game, just has more data to manipulate.

You can find some great stuff out there... you just have to do the work to separate the wheat from the chaff before you download. Don't just look at the screens posted by the creator... read comments from other users. And if you do try a new creator, check out one or two pieces before going hogwild and downloading a lot.

Yes, I can agree. I download a teen swim set recently, the pants and skirt that came with it were weird. The pants especially made her back side/lower half look thicker. The regular bottom and top were fine. I promptly removed those two files.

A friend of mine had some trouble with her CC. I tried to help her so we did some testing.
We downloaded a lot of "beginner" CC (if I can call it that), and Top creators CC on mine.

The clothes on her sims was really.. well, ugly. It looked like someone had painted them right on and it didn't look like on the pictures.
It's normal that the creators edit the pictures before they post them with the CC.

Anyways, It's best to see what other people who have downloaded the CC you want, says about it before you download it.
You can "test it" out yourself, if you're ready that it might disappoint you.

I DON'T say that beginner CC is bad, its a lot of good animations, poses etc that's really good, but when you download hair, clothes, etc and you want it to look good, you shouldn't just download everything you see.
Updates sites are really handy. They keep you updated with stuff from top creators, and as I can see, they never post "crap"

Yeah, at first I downloaded so many clothes and furniture, but only .1 percent of the clothes I downloaded were nice-looking so I just removed all of my CC and haven't gone back. I agree that bad CC can really mess up your game. I downloaded many pairs of pants that made some weird lines appear at my sims waist.

I've never had a problem with bad CC. I really only download CC from here on MTS and I love it all (love you, creators!).

I'm careful, reading the descriptions and comments AND looking at the screenshots. I've had bad CC but I promptly deleted it and rarely was it from MTS.
