Won't electrocution kill?

Reading some guides they are claiming that if three of your sims needs are bellow half way down and if the sim gets electrified, he/she will die.

Now I'm wondering, why doesn't it happen?

When my teenage sim got electrified three of her needs went totally red (Bladder, Hygiene and Fun) and she survived. Does know how this death works precisely?

I think it's got to be a certain 3 - hunger & energy I think are definite, not sure about the third - maybe bladder. I had one of mine die from trying to mend the trash compactor - he was saved by his girlfriend. Has only happened in my game on that one occasion.

your needs have to be bellow half for you to die. its the samething if your sim gets a heart attack.

All needs or just three like the guides are claiming?

I've been told the needs must be 'in the red', i.e. the bar must be red (how red exactly, I wouldn't know). Perhaps I should test it.
