This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This is a set of layerable piercings available for both males and females and from teen to elder. They are assigned to all clothes categories and also to random and maternity for both genders. They are all recolorable.

They are bone assigned so they will move with your sim's eyebrows, nose or mouth.
However, the nose dots and the lip rings can be hidden if the nose is too voluminous (I'm not talking about width, length or size, these work perfectly) or if the lower lip is too thick.

Also, I didn't make piercings especially for teens and elders, they use the adult piercings so some of them might look a bit off depending on the sim features (look at the table with all the piercings shown, you'll see small differences between the ages)

You can layer up to three piercings at a time on the same sim.

Installation
- Download
- Unzip
- Do NOT copy-paste directly into your packages folder, you'll get unnecessary triples!
When you unzip the file, you will get two folders : male and female. They each have three subfolders : "As left earring", "As right earring" and "As bracelet".
You will find all eleven piercings in all of these subfolders. Pick the ones you want to be layerable from DIFFERENT subfolders. Two piercings that the game recognizes as a left earring for instance won't show up at the same time on your sim.
Your sim also won't be able to wear earrings and a piercing based on said earring.

If you can, it's better to pick your piercings in the left and right earrings folders because in CAS, the camera zooms on the accessory each time you pick it and of course, there's nothing to see on the sim's hand.

If you want a specific set of piercings, for exemple the two lip rings, a nose dot and an eyebrow ring (yes that's four piercings) to take only the place of one accessory, or even to show up with the original accessory (say, piercing set + watch) ask in a comment and I'll see what I can do for you ;D

***UPDATE - 18 nov 2010***
I have added 6 new piercings:
- middle lipring for males and females
- snake bite for males and females
- monroes, left and right, but only for females.
If someone wants monroes for males, just ask.

As for the other piercings, they were not specifically made for teens and elders so the placement can be a bit off. It's mostly noticeable for the teen monroes, there's a lot of cliping.

The new piercings are in the second archive, I did not update the original archive. The folder structure is exactly the same.

***UPDATE - 20 nov 2010***

I got a request for a custom set that included a studed snake bite and a middle lip stud so I created them for the set and here they are for everyone else in all flavors (left earring, right earring and bracelet)

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

They aren't showing up for me, and I've got no idea why I'll put it down to a maxis weirdness. They look lovely though <33

I don't know either because I tested them in game without any other Custom Content.
Do you have any other CC in your game and if so, do they show up?
Where did you put the .package files? Maybe you don't have the right resource.cfg file?

They look nice in CAS, but they turned all reflective surfaces in my game blue. All metal, mirrors, windows. After I removed them everything went back to normal. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Oh wow, I didn't encounter this problem and I really have no idea why it would do this or how to fix it

I updated my resource file, cleared all my caches, put them in the right place...It probably is something else conflicting with it, I just have too much cc!

It verks! They're truly wonderful.

I did get rid of some stuff just before a patch update, mainly unused clothes. I think out of the accessories I removed a square version of the 3 bracelets and an unmarbled version of the 3 bracelets which I never used, both downloaded from here, and possibly a beret set from rose sims which didn't work anyway. The mind, it boggles!

Thanks for this wonderful set

Wow, these look really, really good.

I have a request for a custom set, if it's not too much trouble - snakebites, septum, right eyebrow, and middle lip stud. I know you didn't do a stud for the middle lip, but if you could, it would be awesome. And maybe snakebite studs too? =D

If not, no big deal - I'm totally using this anyway.

I absolutely love these, but they all seem to be marked for random. It can be a tad irritating to go remove them from the accessories section when they spawn on a sim, even moreso when they spawn on new townies. I've fixed them all in CTU for my game, but it may be helpful to do so on your own files for future downloaders.

zymish : Do you need your set for males of females (or both)? And what accessory do you want it to replace? left earring, right earring, bracelet, glasses...
I can try to do a middle lip stud (placed below the lip, right? not ON the lip?) but I don't guarantee the result because no matter how I make the bone assignement, the lips thickness seems to do its thing on its own and the piercings don't adjust.
I can definitely do snake bite studs though.

chelcifer : I consciously marked the piercings for random and in order to change that, I'd have to redo all the 84 package files. Sorry but I just don't have the motivation. I'll keep it in mind for future creation though.

Well, I need it for my self-sim, which is male, but I wouldn't complain if there were a female version as well. As far as replacements, I think the bracelet would be best for me, as it's the one I use the least. Below the lip was what I meant, yeah... and I know what you mean about the lip issue; it likes to overlap the under-lip part of the face. That's the part of the set that's least important, though, so I wouldn't worry about it too much if it's a hassle.

Also thanks for the quick reply!

zymish : here is your custom set
I was not sure if you wanted the snake bite to be rings or studs so I did both.
There are also a male and female version.

I'm sorry the icons are off-center. I don't know how it happened, it usually doesn't do this. But it does the trick anyway

If you want the studed snake bite or the middle lip stud separately, I added them to the main post ;D

That's so awesome! Thank you! And so quick, too! You have seriously just made my day.

The rings were what I was after for the snakebites in this set, but the studs look good too. I'll probably use those as well. =D

Thanks so much!

Great work! The only issue I have is, the Septum ring is way too small. The one I have (And most people I've seen) is larger and more noticeable, not the tiny ones that hug the nose. It's by far my favorite piercing. If you had any free time, and could include a larger one (The Bracelet slot works, or glasses) I would greatly appreciate it. =)

Chumble93, secretsq777: I'll look into doing a middle lip spike and a bigger septum, but not for a while. I'm caught up with other things

omegastarr82: Of course they do but it's not as common. Placing the monroe correctly for the females was already a bitch, so there won't be a male version unless someone specifically asks for it.

may i request a custom set ?
both eyebrows with a stud in them not a ring, (i have a small spike on top and bottom irl)
a labret (small spike), snakebite rings, and large septum. if you make any new piercing mods you could add the bridge of the nose to it as well.

(male)
glasses are good for me as i utilize the bracelets.
thank you so much!!!!!!! your going to make my sim look much more like i do!
