Finally your Harry Potter Sims can travel in style! These Harry Potter Travel Trunks are PERFECT for your Potter Sims!

This little addition to ALL THINGS POTTER was something I always wanted for my Sims! It was inspired by the Luggage and Cart set by MizzesSimmer. A slightly modified version of MizzesSimmer's luggage suitcase was used to create a mesh and texture map (with permission). The mesh was remapped so that it has 2 recolorable subsets (which allows mix and match). This is a new mesh with it's own recolours.

You DO NOT need the luggage set by MizzesSimmer. Unfortunately, MizzesSimmer has deleted the thread and the Luggage Set is no longer available.

But again, these Harry Potter travel trunks are stand alone. YOU DO NOT MIZZESSIMMER's LUGGAGE SET!

Note:The cart and the 2 luggage bags on the cart are from the original creation by MizzesSimmer.

This is a collaborative effort between Jason Duskey and myself. Jason modified the meshes in Blender, assembled everything in SimPE and recolored the packages.

I created the texture maps and reworked each recolor. Our teamwork once again has paid off!

There are two versions available for download here: a decorative version and a functional (dresser) version. Both versions "look" alike.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Both versions may be included in the game at the same time as they have separate GUIDs. One will not interfere with the other. You can place either version in the game separately or both versions simultaneously.

The decorative version was cloned from the "Sorrowful Scions" sculpture and is base-game compatible.

The functional version was cloned from the small "Atomic Kids" dresser and requires Pets.

Added a New Barbie Goth trunk called "The LAURA" - dedicated to my dear friend Lauralaima. You may have changed your avatar Laura, but unfortunately you still can't hide that Gothic Barbie Doll image!

Note: The Laura download contains the meshes for both the decorative and the functional trunks!

You may wish to use "The Laura" for your whimsical Harry Potter characters, like Luna Lovegood. I'm sure she would appreciate it's unique style and color!

Additional Information:
*The animations on the functional version are slightly off. However, the dresser functions and the Sims will use them to quickly change into outfits!

BTW - The headstone reads, "Here lies the disillusioned Laura - lover of bullies - aka James Potter -The Bore! R.I.P." With Laura out of the way... DD, I know you don't mind the wait because I KNOW just how many projects you have lined up. And I did love the latest image you shared. Great lot. I e-mailed you. Besides, oftentimes waiting brings greater treasure! Goodnight (or morning as it is) ...as today I shall be absent. I will return before midnight to check on my Victorian stuff as I already have a short list of fixes ! I have an idea, but I'm not sure how it will work. I must consult Jason first. Don't be surprised when I post "The Laura" - for the Gothic BARBIE! OUCH! I'm sure the little girl Potter fans will love the whimsical design! I shall map it today when I map my son's trunk. Of course, he wants to be sorted into Gryffindor. He tested as Ravenclaw, but what the heck. His favorite color is red, so Gryffindor it is!

I'm afraid I broke me precious foot and haven't been using my personal PC much lately. I don't do Sim things on the laptop. Soon...very soon. It's quite cute actually! Jason packaged it over a week ago. I just need to get to my computer and test it. BTW - It's called - The Laura!

I had wanted "something" HP trunk like and once I saw Mizzsimmer's trunks, the idea was born. With the dedicated help of my friend Mr. Duskey, I tried my hands at a little object work and these trunks were the end result. They are a must have in Potterville! Enjoy the trunks! Ooo...I see this trunk has been "Picked". This celebration belongs to Jason Duskey and MizzSimmer! Thanks for your help and inspiration!

Too bad that in moving on to the next phase so many people feel they need to purge their old stuff...especially if the old stuff is well done and well received. I cannot relate to the delete everything mentality. Ah well! To each his/her own! Jason and I used MizzesSimmer's luggage trunk as a base with permission to create this set. They were a great source of inspiration, but you don't need them. These stand alone as they were modified. I'll send you a PM about the other items though. Check your messages later today. Enjoy the HP luggage!
