This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
These have been available for a while over at the reflex forum but thought I'd add 'em here too.
These are cloned from my original Modular Stairs, you MUST have the originals in your game for these recolours to work.

You may include these with houses you upload but be sure to either direct downloaders to this thread for installation instructions and to download the originals OR include the .txt files and the original .package file & .txt file in with your lot and the installation instructions, either way is good!
To install these you should have the
Scriptorium installed.
Scriptorium Installation
Drop the .package files into your Downloads folder.
Using the
Scriptorium ModularStairs shortcut in your downloads folder add the .txt files into your modular stairs folder.
Also found under
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts\Scriptorium_ModularStairs
And that's it, the stairs should show up in game.
Non Scriptorium Installation.
Download NonScriptoriumInstall.rar & unpack
Follow instructions in the .txt file included.
The script for ALL the stairs including the original are included and the .package file for the original stairs are included. You will need to download the colours you want seperately.

Have included a seperate file for each recol, each including the .package file & .txt file needed, so you can pick and choose the colours you want more easily.
Have also added an "ALL" file which includes all the recols and .txt files for the Scriptorium install.
