In every new world I always find myself plopping down my Shady's nightclub because it's my favorite lot. However, Shady's doesn't always fit in with more urban downtowny areas, so I created The Moon (lol) as an alternative.
The Moon is modeled, once again, after a RL local club that was built out of an old abandoned library. And that library, was built out of an old workshop, so it has a slight industrial feel to it.
The club features a large wrap-around bar, dance floor and DJ stage. Upstairs, there's a balcony over looking the dance floor with more private seating areas for your sims. The club is small and cozy with just enough room for the sims to move around comfortably. I find that keeping clubs small saves game resources and makes the club look more full and inviting.
The club can go two ways, either as a more mature social club or a wild hot spot. The difference is created with the way you set up the lighting. I like to turn on the black lights for a more dance club, disco scene. To do this simply click on the florescent lights and toggle on the black light.
Also to add more atmosphere you can change the music that club will play through the in wall speakers. To do this you must type in "testingcheatsenabled true", Shift + Click on the lot, and then select "Buy On This Lot". Next using the hand tool, pick any one of the speakers and Ctrl + Shift + Click on it. From there you can change the music genre. Alternatively, if you have the DJ booth installed you can disable the wall speakers and control the music through it. And if you want to get fancy, you can have a handy sim wire the DJ booth to rest of the speakers and have full control of the music in all areas of the club.
Obviously Late Night is required, and World Adventures is more optional than anything. The only thing used form World Adventures is the awning. I just *had* to use that awning because it completed the look of the club. If you install this lot without WA, you shouldn't have any problems, you'll just be missing the awning.
