Update: I have uploaded the GMDC and the texture of this hat, I used mininessie's girl base model for the placement reference. If anybody wishes to make an adult version of this hat, they are free to do so with my blessings. So go nuts. Get GMDCnTXT.rar from ModYourPanties, the file upload system is being hateful and stupid to an already stressed-out modder.

Possible use for a fish hat: Spice up your baseball cap!

Basic Information:

Polycount: 524
Vertices: 368

This hat will show up under Glasses and be wearable by teen boys and girls only.
Mesh is a shrunken and turned-into-a-hat default Golden Trout from Seasons by Maxis.
Mesh is included in the download and is base game compatible.

Known Issues:
For sims with bangs and big hairs, the hair may stab through the fish, giving the fish a hairy look.
But if the fish wearer has a relatively flat hair, the fish should look just fine.

Polygon Counts:
524

Additional Credits:
Gwenke33 of MTS. Without their invaluable advice, I would not even have gotten this mesh to show properly. Thank you, Gwenke33!

mininessie of MTS. Without their Accessory Tutorial, I would have never made a Fish Hat to begin with. The tutorial is still current, but you'll need to take different steps on some of the instructions. For example, by following Gwenke33's advice to set the skin weight to 3, you no longer need to keep the over 400 polycount lens mesh in. Thank you mininessie, for your tutorial!

Milkshape, SimPE, Nvidia BuildDXT (critical for adding in textures for meshes that have wider/taller UV maps than the original mesh), Maxis/EA and finally, MTS for making any of this possible. Thank you all!

Oh, and the fish clipart from the speech bubble was a free-to-use "yellow fish" clipart found on the internet with Google image search.
