SCREENSHOTS
This is another '"kinda"- unintentional creation: It was supposed to be a coffee table, but I went and drew the mesh and mapped out the slots without using any game mesh for a reference. Everything was at end table height, so this became an end table instead. I still want the coffee table in my game, so once it's finished there will be a matched set.
I saw (yup, again on a TV show) a cool hex coffee table that was basically two nested pieces that spread out into two separate tables. Not really feasible in Sims 2 without a lot of coding, but I thought it would be cool if one of the pieces was all glass. Here's what happened:
I re-used the textures from the MoldiCube table, with the addition of orange. After that Right Said Fred song got stuck in my head, I could only envision this table as bright orange with green glass. Didn't go overboard or get fancy on the slots this time, they're just logically placed for the shape of the tabletop, and there's plenty of them to make it useful.
Some Technical info:
All plastic textures generated in Blender 2.77 and 2.78
All glass textures made in SimPE in-game price - 207
in-game location - Surfaces>End Tables
total faces - 196
Tools used: Blender 2.77 &2.78, SimPE, Gimp 2.8
Polygon Counts:
shadows - 10
endtable - 120
glass hex- 68

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.

About Me
POLICY/TERMS-OF-USE ADDENDUM:
I don't mind if you include any of these meshes with your lots**, as long as you provide a link to the original MTS page for the mesh. Posting my mesh on any site by itself, or claiming it as your own work, would be considered rude and a breach of my trust and love for you as a fellow simmer.
**Above policy does not apply to Remote Control Thing - it contains an NPC that could possibly corrupt a neighborhood when removed, and I doubt that downloaders would appreciate something like that hidden in a downloaded lot.
