Superman Comic Series Continued...

Date Posted: 20th Aug 2012 at 2:42 AM

Just a reminder to some folks who follow the comic shorts on here, the comic book is back in session, and planning to take another hiatus...after Issue 20 is released, lol. That'll be in over two months from now, so no rush for that.

Anyway, enjoy Issue 11. The next issue is being written as we speak...yes the screenshots are already done, and then Issue 13 would continue the story. Enjoy, and if you like the series, please show your thanks via the Thanks button if the story thread.

Yep, updated my avatar to sport out a small moving scene of Superman. Was tough to get it under 64kb, but I made it. Yay!

Slight Update on Monopoly Game Town

Date Posted: 15th Jun 2012 at 2:35 AM

So I was surprised to find out that there was some leftover user files from the N046 neighborhood files. It's been updated today to eliminate that user file.

For those who already have the neighborhood, no panic necessary, just scan the neighborhood with HoodChecker, and the data file should be gone. Must have been ol' Pennybags lurking around before leaving the 'hood, lol. Erm...yeah I'll probably get stoned from some of you folks, lol.
EDIT: Okay, so it stays there forever...luckily, there's no one with relations to the sim user file.

So...for you new folks out there, enjoy this yet-to-be loaded neighborhood. That's right, not even the Grim Reaper, Pollination Technician, or the other NPCs have been made yet. If anyone has issues with the upload, please post under this journal entry.

And thanks Mootilda for catching that data leftover. All hail !

Big residential lot...prepare for your computers to explode, LOL!!!

Date Posted: 13th May 2012 at 6:38 AM

Okay, that hotel tower was a flop...or just a record for a great lot that everyone was speechless, lol.

So anyway, here's an update to something that hasn't be attempted in years on this website. Introducing a work-in-progress. An American National Landmark, recognizable by many folks...too bad the lot's size can't get bigger (for the landscaping). Introducing and update to...The (Off-)White House! Pictures are at the end of this entry.

The furnishing...oy, that's a pain in the head. So much to decorate. Well, hopefully I'll get this done by the end of June 2012, or earlier. Anyway, enjoy the exterior look. I love the balustrades on the roof, a discovery that changed the way I built previous White Houses for my game. ^_^

P.S. I'm not much of a landscaper, so don't expect to see this look any better. Maybe even expect less trees. I hate tress and gardens, namely because of all the computer resources this will consume, lol. AKA, prepare for your computer to explode!

3rd Sim City 3k home, Onderdonk House...based on an actual house, apparently!

Date Posted: 8th Oct 2011 at 4:57 AM

So, third house being made, the Onderdonk House:

First time doing different levellings to the floors. As you may notice eventually, the first floor is made of walls, shortened with the CFE cheat. Same with the "3rd floor" (actually the floor located between the 1st and 2nd floor). Plans to upload this home is in the works as usual, so stay tuned for it.

Oh and incidentally, after checking out the name "Onderdonk House", two results come up. One looks like a barn. And the other?

Amazing. Looks shorter in height though, but probably the building that inspired those folks from Maxis.

2nd Sim City 3000 home - Bayberry Manor

Date Posted: 3rd Oct 2011 at 3:50 AM

So, with the successful completion of Stratton Hall, comes another home. Bayberry Manor:

Still needs to be furnished, but progress is going well. First time creating a rooftop like that, thank you very much CFE cheat, lol. The main building is not quite square and the roof seems long. Just some examples of replica flaws. But anyway, expect this in the uploads too.

My first entry. AND first try at replicating a Sim City 3K house

Date Posted: 1st Oct 2011 at 6:28 AM

So, first journal entry, yay! Thought I'd share something about what I'm working at during my free time. I was thinking about how I used to be a Sim City nut; builing cities, running it as mayor, charge exuberant taxes, etc., lol. Then I thought, hey, why not try to replicate a house from the Sim City game! I could accomplish that and earn a residental lot badge. So, here's my first attempt at a replica Sim City home.

It's still a work-in-progress, but so far it's pretty good. Obviously not a direct copy, made subtle differences (especially since Maxis didn't provide diagonal two-story windows), but the overall shape is still pretty good. So, expect this to be in the downloads some time in October 2011.
