Weeee new car recolours too!

Date Posted: 18th Sep 2006 at 11:10 PM

Okay so I did something else today as well, but the cars look nice if I say so myself! I've always liked that shade of orange on cars, mostly because it's different and stands out. Not like the multitude of blues, maroons, silvers and blacks you see out on the road mostly. I've always like cars that are so ugly they actually look good as well :D

Still no luck on the lace though!

New lamp recolours!

Date Posted: 18th Sep 2006 at 9:28 AM

I did a bunch of recolours of a GLS ceiling lamp, there's a ton of hair sitting on my drive waiting to be binned ... but I feel like doing something else now. I'm eyeing some more car recolours to go with the pink vw convertible one I did.

I'm still trying to work out some more xmsims bed recolours, I'm having an issue with darker colours. As seen with the few darker ones I did before, you lose all of the lace pattern on the actual bed part. I've had a hell of a time trying to find a transparent lace gif (read: can't find one, period) and haven't been able to find a lace filter thingy for photoshop that actually looks good.

If anyone has some suggestions, send them my way!

Five years ago today ...

Date Posted: 11th Sep 2006 at 5:06 AM

I know you've all probably been bombarded with coverage relating to 9/11 in the past week or two. It's hard to believe 5 years has gone by since the attacks. I wasn't in New York when they happened, but I did watch CNN most of that day.

Take a moment today to reflect and remember. The grief for those directly affected by this tragedy will be even more painful today.

another recolour done

Date Posted: 3rd Sep 2006 at 7:34 AM

Well after doing pretty much everything BUT recolouring, I had to recolour FP's new shirt mesh after getting permission from him. I've started some recolours in pastel shades of some curtains posted up here recently - I need to finish that up soon and post them as well.

There's been lots of changes here at MTS2 and lots more to come - not to mention we're reworking the social forums as well! There's going to be some great things coming. If you're not already there, come say hi to us on the forums! It's nice to talk to people in a more social enviornment.

yay my first set is finished!

Date Posted: 26th Aug 2006 at 8:28 AM

I never thought I'd finish the bedroom set I was working on, but finally it's done! I learned a lot while making it, pestered some very helpful people to no end and realized I still have lots more to learn. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and extremely pleased and flattered that it was featured. Now for me it's back to the drawing board to learn more things and try out another set in the future. I'll probably do some recolours but I need to concentrate on learning shadows and doing good retextures of furniture. It was my intention of doing a retexture of a couch or stuffed chair for the bedroom set ... however when I exported the image my mind was quickly changed :p

At this point I really can't see myself getting into meshing ... but a couple months ago I never thought I'd be able to recolour, nevermind retexture. So you never know what you can do until you try. I think I'll take a much-needed break over the weekend and fill it with countless hours of mindless television and movies, recharge and get ready to plunge ahead with learning more.
