... since I updated this journal. It's been a while since I made any clothes, either. I put up some new separates for girls yesterday. Now I feel obligated to make something for the boys... but I have no idea what. I think I'll leave that until the new year, anyway.

Hmmm... I wonder if I'll get there before people lose interest in TS2 and migrate to TS3?

... and now it's back. I don't know where that one download was hiding, but it appears to be back now. Strangeness... I guess some weird stuff must've happened during the big merge.

I'm sitting here working on another toddler outfit, and wondering if there's much point in doing this anymore. I mean, Sims 3 comes out next month. Is anyone going to care about Sims 2 when they have a shiny new game to play with?

To be honest, Sims 3 (from what I've seen) doesn't excite me much. There doesn't seem to be much improvement in the look of the characters (they actually seem a little bland to me). And I'm not crazy about all the lots "aging" at once. What happens if I get attached to a Sim, and then decide to play his neighbour for a while? Some of my favourites might be dead by the time I get back to them!

It's a moot point, anyway. My computer doesn't have the minimum requirements for Sims 3, so I won't be getting it any time soon. I'll just have to satisfy myself with my good old Sims 2 Sims for now.

Actually, looking at the number of my items, it looks like two uploads are missing. I have no idea what the other one is, though...

My Downloads folder deleted itself.

Since my computer sucks, I put my Downloads and SavedSims folders in a special place on my desktop while I'm creating. Otherwise, Body Shop takes forever to start up.

This morning, I felt like playing the game. So I took my Downloads and SavedSims folders and put them back in the Sims 2 folder. I thought everything had gone fine. But when I started up my game, all my Sims were wearing default Maxis crap. So I looked in the Downloads folder. It was completely empty. So I looked in the folder on my desktop where I'd temporarily stored it. It was also empty. Then I checked the Recycle Bin. Nothing.

So, somehow, when I moved the Downloads folder, everything in it got obliterated. There is no smiley for what I'm feeling right now...

Read the overview. Then read the comments. Then read my journal entry. I'm not explaining it again; the answer will still be the same, so there's no point in repeating myself.

I hope I've fixed all the broken files now. I found a couple more today, but I think that's the last of them. So if you're having trouble downloading, be patient and try again; the files should be there.

If you've downloaded some of my meshes and the shape looks funny or "broken", make sure your graphics settings aren't on "low". Your computer is displaying the LOD meshes, so my clothes will look weird.

If you're having problems with the converted toddler pajamas, try downloading them again. You probably have the old version with the wonky bumpmaps (which will make the clothes look too bright in the game).

If you've downloaded my Little Llama Baby Outfits, remember that you can only have one recolour in your Downloads folder at a time. This is a limitation of the game, and there's nothing I can do about it. If you want to change colours, you must do it manually by switching out the recolours.
