I do apologize if this has already been asked but I have searched high and low here and can't seem to find the answer.

I was trying earlier to recolor some glasses/china that was recently posted and also a bottle of perfume. When I get them saved and into SimPE, nothing shows up. I thought ok, I must be doing something wrong and try another item and it shows up. I go back to the one that won't show up and nope, still not there and is blank.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Again, if this has been asked or discussed, I'm sorry and if you can forward me into the right direction I'd be grateful!

Thanks!
Whit

It's possible those custom objects aren't recolorable. Can you post a link to the items that you can't recolor and tell exactly which objects you're having problems with so that I can take a look? Otherwise it'll be difficult to say what the problem is :).

And here's the dishes:

I can't get either of these to show up in PE :( Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong?

Heh, this is weird, it's not showing my last post here in the thread list.
Goodness I'm having a weird day. :/

Is it all those dishes? Because there are quite many of them and it would easier to test if you could say specifically which one(s) :)

The thread view only updates every few minutes and new posts don't show on it immediately even if they posted correctly.

Edited to add: The perfume bottle is not recolorable. Don't know about the dishes yet as I first need to know which ones :)

Oh thank ya... the one I was trying to recolor is the champagne single -there's a row of them also, but I was just trying to for the single one. :)

And thanks again! ;) I thought I was losing my mind. *heh*

The champaigne glass is recolorable, but it doesn't have a texture image, only a material definition. You can change the color of the glass by editing the value stdMatDiffCoef in the Material Definition. The easiest way to do this is to go to the Categorized Properties tab, select the line stdMatDiffCoef and click the arrow at the end of the line, where you can pick a color from a palette. You can't add a pattern this way, only a solid color.
