View Full Version : How to convert Male Hair to Female? Help Pls
3rd Mar 2009, 3:24 AM
I have no idea how to convert male hair to femal hair, and I didn't find a tutorial. If I missed it pls tell me where it is.
The reason I ask this is I want to convert Nova L's wolf hair (for personal use, or to upload if Nova gives me permission to) to female so I can have awesome female lycans.
If you could also tell me how to convert for other age groups that would be cool too. I hope you can do it only with SimPE because I have no 3d editing software, and no experience with it.

To convert hair to other age groups, you have to edit the mesh, shrink it down and make it fit the head. If you have no mesh editing software, you can't age convert hair. I'll leave the other questions to hair experts.

That's fine, but how can I convert adult male to female, I don't think I'd need any mesh editing, because the sizes would be fine.

You would need to edit the mesh - while male and female adult heads are roughly the same size, they are not exactly the same shape. You'd need to fix all the edges of the mesh to fit the other head shape. In basic terms:
1. Make a recolour package based on the original.
2. Open up the mesh file and do Fix Integrity to make it a new, unique mesh file with new internal names. Save it as a new file.
3. Link your new mesh file to the recolour package.
4. Edit the new mesh file to fit the shape of the other gender's head.

bummer...I won't be able to do that I guess I will have to ask if Nova can do it since it is his mesh. I might also ask SynapticSim, his lycan body mesh with Marvine and BBB is my inspiration in the first place. Thanks for the help though.

I wish I had 3d editing software......I got a free one, but it messed up my Sims 2 game so I'm actually afraid to put another 3d editing software in my comp unless it is milkshape.
