The Grid isn't yet perfect so if anything looks "wrong", it's best not to touch it -- you can report any problems, too. (I just spotted at least one issue whilst checking up on the instructions I wrote above. "ControlCode" and "SubType" sometimes display as "S3PIDemoFE.AsHexCTD"...)

I'd just like to point out that this is still occuring in 0909-12-1009 rev: 363
and it seems to to always occure for me.

And will likely stay that way. Without spending a few months rewriting the library and s3pe, this isn't going to be solved. Dedicated editors do not have the same problem, so use them where available.

Fixed in latest version! (It finally annoyed me into submission. It wasn't too difficult -- I'm starting to learn my own code well enough to come up with easier fixes.)

You of course mean the test version, not the one in the sticky threads for "current release"
