Hey, this is my first post here, so I hope someone can help with this problem. Its weird.
So, basically, we tried to run the game yesterday and it crashes on the load screen before loading the neighborhood. I went through all the steps listed in the Help section for this problem. What's weird about this is, first I removed all our custom content, and it still crashed, so I figured that wasn't causing the problem. So, then I renamed the Sims 3 folder to The Sims 3 Backup, like it said. And, lo and behold, it actually worked, and the game ran fine. So, naturally, I put the package files back in. Guess what happened. The game crashes at the load screen. Now, what I don't understand is, why would it crash after putting them back in, when it still crashed the first time I took them out? If it was the custom content, wouldn't it have worked after removing it the first time? I'm at the complete loss about this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)
EDIT: Nevermind! xD
Just now, I messed around with it a bit more, and figured it out. So, thank you so much to anyone who might've had some suggestions, but I've got it working now. I apologize for wasting space on the forums.
