Hi everyone...

So I spent a decent portion of the day looking for a good website to download custom content for TS3 and the expansion pack....found this website and was amazed...ok so blah, blah, blah...on to the meat of the situation...

...i know very little about macs, well computers in general...i just bought mine less than a month ago...

So i have a downloads folder full of custom content...clicked on it, thinking it would download automatically like at TSR, but nope...so i read the download help section and download/installed Stuffit, The Unarchiver, some file called MTS2_Delphy_92170, TS3 Mods Framework (btw kudos to the makers of this one, it was the funnest download/installation i did), and some other file (i think G.rar, or something...i know it has an orange icon)

soy, after trying all of that reading, rereading...a couple of head scratches and poundings...i am left with nothing...i was hoping the TS3 Mods Framework download would work, but whenever i click the file to be downloaded (which is a .package file) it asks me what i would like open it with...i type "ts3 mods framwork" into the search bar and nothing comes up. Then i tried opening it with the sims 3 folder and it opened the next bar with the sims applications (greyed out of course)...

if anyone can please help...i'd greatly appreciate it...thanks in advance

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:

Sims 3 - Installing Custom Content
You appear to not have read our great guides to downloading and installing custom content for Sims 3.

Game_Help:TS3_Custom_Content This link contains everything you've ever wanted to know about installing .package and sims3packs.

Please read this again. Package files don't need to be opened with anything, only moved to the right place. It is outlined very clearly in the FAQ where that place is.

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.

platicbox...first i'd like to say thank you for your response...but maybe i didn't make myself that clear when i said

"...so i read the download help section..." (i probably should have put that i read ALL l the help pages)

"...and download/installed Stuffit, The Unarchiver, some file called MTS2_Delphy_92170, TS3 Mods Framework...and some other file (i think G.rar, or something...i know it has an orange icon)..."

and maybe i should have made sure i stressed the follow point more:

"..i know very little about macs, well computers in general...i just bought mine less than a month ago..."

i just think its very peculiar that i have to go through such pains to download a file...i've never had this problem with any other site i've tried to use...i'm thinking it might be because i downloaded the other files that don't say until the end that they are not made to work with macs...or because i downloaded two files meant to do similar things...i'm not sure...

So again, what is the problem you're having? You sounded like you were trying to open package files.
