I have recently finished the shell and landscaping on a home.

I have been debating a few things I would like feedback on:
whether or not to keep the gutters
whether or not to furnish before uploading
A closer up picture of the gutters:

I would also appreciate feedback, comments, suggestions, and if I have missed something in the creator guidelines! I would appreciate opionions on the topics mentioned above.

i think the gutters are a good idea ... looks really pretty ... furniture doesnt matter when uploading ... some dont use it and others have it ... its not a necessity for it to be accepted .. is there nay CC on the lot or is it NO CC ??? because there is a cool fence set that would look good on the front porch an dmatch the chic fence you used ... just sayin ...

Just like Levni has said, the gutters are absolutely lovely and since this is sims 2 you are at liberty to furnish or no furnish. But I have some few suggestions
At the top floor picture number 4, I would recommend that you take out the door to the bathroom on the left and place it on the wall between that room and the bathroom so that it would be selfcontained like the other two on the left since there is no other room up there to share it with that room.
For the front, I think some more land scaping will look nice since its a bit empty to me now. You can add some few more flowers and smaller trees too.
There seems to be a lot of wasted space, and I would recommend scaping it out to beautify that outdoor space. I could take out the pond and tree behind the garage, put a playground for the kids or a swimming pool and beautify it to look nice. Same goes for the left part of the building.
The roof of the gazebo at the front needs to be adjusted so as to synchronise with the front roof because right now it does not really match.
Lastly i thinks the floor level should have a rest room for visitors except you want them to go to your room to use one.
Once again you have a cute house.

Is it just me being stupid, or is the master bedroom missing a door? I can't see how you're supposed to get into it...

Is it just me, or does anybody else also thinks that the roof on the garage is too high? (Seems to be the highest roof from every building, but in fact it's the smallest building, only for a car and well). Just a thought :)

Yeah, reduce the slope of the garage roof, it is very high.

Oops! That's embarassing! I must have missed it. I'll try to landscape more, but that's not my strong suit.

I think the landscaping is fine :) It looks nice. Maybe just add a little variety with the terrain paints.
As for the door, I've done worse. Try having the whole ground floor laid out, furnished, decorated, the works...only to discover you forgot to put in stairs. I had to rearrange a ton of stuff to fit them in. Happened years ago but I'll never forget that moment

I wasn't going to say this, but I've done that too :D Once, I tried to put in an elevator, but I forgot to put one on the second floor!
As for the suggestions. I'll take a look at the landscaping, I took a second look at the front of the lot and came to the same conclusion: more landscaping! I have no idea why the garage roof is so high, the garage is 7x9 and the roof is the normal 45 degree angle. I've already reduced some of the roofing to 25 degrees, and I'm afraid the roof will be too short. :(
Also, I think that the tree in the front of the house is a little big. So I'll add smaller trees that don't block the view of the upper window. I'll post pictures of the changes.
adonispluto, I don't know what you mean by the gazebo roof doesn't match. How?

I've never done that with an elevator so you win! :D Though actually, I didn't mention that I was building that house with a friend. Neither of us realised we'd forgotten the stairs until we were done. You'd think one of us would have noticed!
Yeah, actually changing the tree is a good idea.
Play around with the height of the garage roof and maybe show us a few different roof angles, see what people think.
I'm just going to mention the terrain paints again, at the moment it's all painted that same green, try layering them, put patches of soil and then put some grass on top so that you have some variation in tone and texture, that kinda thing. Put little patches of dirt under trees, and anywhere that sims would probably walking on a lot, make the grass look a little more worn and trampled. If you need a picture let me know and I'll do some examples of some different layering.
About the gazebo, it might be that the cone roof kinda cuts into the other roof. It looks kinda...harsh? I can't think of the right word. But I don't think there's anything you can really do about that, that's just what happens when using a few different types of roof in TS2. Drives me mad!
Edit: Or actually, looking at that picture...try moving the tree a few squares to the right. Cause I actually like that tree with that house and if you moved it a little to the side then it wouldn't be blocking the windows any more.
And, what EPs/SPs are you building this with?

And, what EPs/SPs are you building this with?
Let's see, Uni, NL, OFB, FFS, FT, Seasons, AL, CS, Ikea, TS, K&B, Pets, BV, H&M. Wow, I think that's all! (Not all of them are required, if that's what you mean, but I have those installed)
I've worked with layering before, but it depends on what I'm doing. I'll see what looks good, but I was going for a clean cut look.
I scooted the tree, added some landscaping. I left the pond. I added a restroom to the main floor, and I reduce the garage roof slope to 30 degrees.

If you lower the angle of the front porch roof, you could put some windows on the second floor. It might help with the look of the gazebo, too. Also, you may want to change the back door to match the wood of the windows. And I think a covered back porch would look good. Great job so far. :)

Thats my observation from your uploaded images (7 and 8).the round roof base is lower than that of the front roof cover so that you have to adjust then so that the difference does not show . Right now its like the front roof cover is just poking into the round cover at the front part and back side

Yes, I wish that the sliding door came in an oak color. I will look for recolors. As far as lowering the angle on the porch roof goes- that would probably make the problem worse, the porch roof is already at 25 degree angle; which is what caused the problem in the first place!

welll why must it be a roof ? can't it be a low fence ... when i have a roofing dilemma i just use the low maxis fences and use no roof ...

This is an example of what I was thinking.

yeah ... but the roof is still not ok ... (dont take offense ... just pointing out ... ) in pic 2 they look weird they intersect but they dont line up right ... those kind of roofs are weird when lowered ... i pref using low fencing ... gives it a clean look ... with allowance for windows ... and also allowance for solar panels or objects to be placed there ...
