I am trying to separate a hat that is attached to a hairstyle. Looking at the axis and such, I think it will be fairly easy deleting the hair that is showing from underneath the hat. Should I just follow the traditional accessory meshing tutorial once I remove the hair? It is a Maxis mesh originally. I am just wondering if anybody has done this before.

I am using Milkshape.
Thanks :)

I say go ahead with it, I can't see why it shouldn't work. I've managed to make one of those winter hats from the hair bin work as an accessory. Just be weary that the textures work differently for accessories than hair and body mesh, so I don't know if it would develop that PETS EP accessory graphics glitch or not - though my hat didn't seem to - but even if it does it is easy to fix.
