Doctor Who - Rory Williams

Surprise surprise - it's me again! :D You know how it goes: Misty loves a show. Misty wants to sim a face from the show. Misty tries. Misty gets stuck. Misty comes to the lovely feedback peoples begging for help :luff:

I never thought I'd be doing this one, to be honest - the new Doc has one of those faces that are really tough to translate into the sim form. But something kept poking at my brain whenever I would watch an episode of the new series, so I had to at least try. I -think- I'm going in the right direction, so I thought my current version is ready for some feedback before I keep tweaking to no end ;)

OMG <3 Lol, Sorry but I have a depp love for Dw ^w^ Anywho, The first thing that kinda threw me off was his nose, It seems a little long Than the real Matt Smith's Nose. And the nose just seems a tad to wide.

He is adorable! I love Doctor Who! His bottom lip needs to be wider. And maybe the lips in general need to be wider too. Excellent job so far, I love your sims!

Wow, I don't even watch doctor who and I instantaneously knew this was him. Really REALLY excellent likeness. The only issues I can see have already been pointed out, but the long nose stuck out (ha) at me the most. Well done, seriously.

Thank you so much for your feedback, guys! You are being extremely helpful. I think the nose is looking a bit better now...he needs a different nosemask, though. I also made some other little changes, and have decided to try and tweak his face in Milkshape. Look, he now has the cutest ears :giggler:

Alrighty, I tweaked the nose some more - any better? :) I started the outfit as well, since I'm being so optimistic about the sim :P It's just an early concept, slapped it together, as you can see...I think I just wanted to see how my sim looked like with a bowtie :P

Also, I see a gap in the neck, but I'm guessing you're still working on the outfit. Which looks great so far!

Yeah, I think the eye depth is not right, too. The gap is indeed because of the mesh which is still very undone, but most of the major flaws have been fixed now ;-)

I am totally with Nekoyami on the request...Do you think it'd be possible if you could make the ninth doctor? Or (Even though this would be so hard) Even try to make one of the moster-like things from DW? Like the Slithen or something? :)

I do plan on making Rory and River for sure, but we'll see about the characters from previous seasons, since I have several other sims I have to finish first :) As for the Sletheen, I think that would take a lot more meshing skill than I currently possess ;)

I've worked some more on the outfit...I think it's getting there, but needs some tweaks and details to the texture. I wanted to hear if you guys perhaps have some suggestions on what else could be improved :) Sorry for not so good pics, I was a bit in a hurry and they came out a tad too dark.

They are both looking really good, I think that her eyebrows could come down a little bit. The jaw is also a bit too wide, and I'd also make her nose a tiny bit less wide too.Chin is also a bit long.
He's looking absoloutley amazing, as with all of your sims. I honestley don't see much to change, although I might make his mouth a tad wider.

Nine looks perfect! I can't think of anything to change.
For Rose, try getting different eyebrows? Less curvier ones? And I think her eyes are more brownish.
Try making her lips wider and less dark too.
Great job so far! And since you're in Doctor Who mode, may I suggest possibly making John Simm as The Master? I would die of happiness. :giggler:

Wow! Nine looks even better!
Rose is improving too! There's something off about the face shape though. I think it's the cheek bones? Or maybe the jaw is too wide. Also I think the lips need to be a little wider and the eyes less close together.

I've recently been watching Doctor Who and then I saw your brilliant doctor and Amy and now I saw this.
I think the doctor's face needs to be a bit longer...maybe, if the game can actually do that. Other then that I think they look excellent.
Sorry if I sound stupid. :P

EDIT: Now that I think about it, maybe darker make up for Rose's eyes?

I actually think that the length of the doctors face is fine as it is, people often have a tendansy to make sims faces overly long.
Nine looks pretty much done to me, you gotta' love those ears!
I also agree about the nose mask, maybe one the will make his nostrils apear higher than they actualy are.
Rose's nose needs to come down and maybe widen the nose bridge. Her eyes also seem rather large, they should be less wide open.
The whole face should be moved up too, I'm judging that on the distance from the brows to hair line. So if you chose another hair then you may have to change it back.
Her lips seem too defined, unfortunatley there isn't a slider for this so you may just have to have a bit of a play a round.
I love all of your sims, especially these new doctor who ones.

Neko, I edited Rose and tried to make the cheekbones and the jaw more accurate, and also did some other tweaks. I haven't made Nine's nosemask yet, but I did edit his face in Milkshape so I could make the nosemask slightly more subtle :) I also need to alpha edit the hair, and make him a more accurate outfit. Will probably just recolour this Maxis one I'm using now, since it's pretty much almost there.

Sluggish, you don't sound stupid at all :) Thank you for the compliment and your feedback. I shall try different eyeshadow for Rose.

Phycorax, thanks! Glad you like my simmies :D Oh, and since you mentioned teh ears, I had to make those in MS3D, since I couldn't find a template with any remotely Nine-ish ears :) I twekaed Rose, hopefully she looks better now. I haven't decided on the hair yet, I don't think I actually found one that I really want to use for the finished version.

I still feel alsthough her jaw is a little bit too wide, it the comparison it seems to merge more with the side of her face.
Her upper lip should be a little bit less thick.

Thank you, Phycorax, Sluggish and Neko - you have been so encouraging and helpful with these two sims of mine :D I did some tweaks to Rose, hope she is getting there. I will change the lip color and mouth width in the next update. And so happy you think Nine is done! :D Still need to do the hair and the clothes, somehow I'm not getting around to it.

I did figure that Nouk hair would work pretty well :) I tried it before, but since Rose sim has kind of a wide face, the hair was covering a lot of the jaw. However, after Sluggish suggested it, I figured I'd give it one more try and then realized I could alpha edit it to look better on my Rose. This is just a quick alpha edit, will tweak it a bit more if you guys think I should keep the hair.

I keep changing her eye colour...I look at the pictures and my screencaps and sometimes her eyes look greenish, sometimes brown. I tried going with hazel, but that didn't look right either :faceslap:

That eye color looks good to me. I like the hair too - but it may need to be a little shorter.
I think her face also needs to be more round. The last version you posted I think had a more accurate face shape.

Rose looks so cute, I agree with Nekonyami that eye colour looks kinda perfect for her.
Her brows are a little bit too arched now, maybe a little bit darker too (not as dark as post #37 though).
The upper lip could also do with being reduced some more.

Your Nine is perfect (even if it's not my favourite doctor), but Rose's face is a little different. Just a little bit. I couldn't explain, but she's just a little less like the real one (can you understand ? i'm french, it's a little hard to explain when you can't find your words), but she's still stunning and gorgeous !

And about Eleven and Amy, they're just... amazing !

And then, who will become a Sim ? River Song, Martha Jones, Jack Harkness (good idea) ? I can't wait.

Yeah those eyes are far too big, after you've shrunk them then her eyebrows will looks the right length. Rose's Chin needs to be more of a square shape, also as it has been stated above the chin needs to be little bit longer. They both look amazing, can't wait to see your upload.

I've darkened the brows, fiddled with the lower part of the face (am still trying to get the chin right, keeps coming out too pointy), eyes are smaller and further apart. Better or worse? Neko - yeah, it is a lot of work, but I think your sims are really recognizable...I honestly know nothing of making sims for TS3, so maybe they do need some tweaking, but they look great from what I can tell.

I still think her eyes looks proportionally too big compared to the rest of her face, and maybe her lower lip should be a bit wider based on the second picture. She's coming along great though! The guy looks great!!

I have to agree the eyes do look a tad too large, but make sure you don't make them too small. I feel like her nose should be a little bit longer, you'll have to re-adjust her mouth after you've changed this. You're right about the brows, they should extent further away from the ends of her eyes and be thinner at the ends some more. Overall I think they both look great, she's improved so much.

Eeeeehhhh, he looks great already! The nose needs to be a little bit thinner, and upturned some more. Both upper and lower lips could be thinned further. His eyes in proportion to the rest of his face look kinda huge, shrink them down. Eye colour could maybe be a little less blue and more of a green colour. Brows could be lighter aswell, I'm feeling like that are a little bit too neat and tidy Rory's brows are quite bushy. Well he's looking great, as always :D

To me the lashes look fine, infact you can hardly notice that they're actually there. Yes the ears need to stick out some more. To me that eye colour looks spot on, from the second comparison image. Upper lips is slightly too pinched, he looks wonderful !

Rory really does look great! I agree that he could use a few facial wrinkles, especially from the nasal-labial ones. I have a great set I got somewhere.....I just went to see where I got them. Guess what? They're yours!
