Sims 3 does nothing

okay,yesterday the sims 3 worked fine,but then i wanted to download CC i used my usb i download it in my laptop and put it in the laptop where sims 3 is and has no internet.
I click on sims 3 to see if it worked and nothing happens.I usually look at other threads that have the same problem,i did that. and i read that you must put the CC on desktop But my other laptop doesnt have desktop and taskbar(it happens long ago)And i tried to download Monkeybar and i put it on my other laptop. but it keeps saying I:MonkeyBar.exe The filename is invalid and then i clicked OK.So thats why im writing now.

please help me i cant survive without sims 3 :help:

and i can click on sims 3 by goin to the file and click TS3W and i right clicked it and i clicked compatibilityproblems solve or something and then when i finish there is incompatible application and next there is :!!:

First of all, you don't need MonkeyBar anymore. That was related to the old way of installing CC. The new way involves putting it in a folder in Documents. You do need to be patched to at least 1.12 to be able to do that, but the old way isn't supported anymore.

If you don't have a desktop, you can accomplish the same result by moving the files to another spot on the computer that is easy for you to find again. The desktop was suggested because for most people it is easy to find files that are there.

The really worrisome thing to me is the part where the compatibility wizard sees the game as an incompatible program. I hope someone with more technological expertise sees this, but it sounds to me like you might have reached the point where you need to reinstall Windows.
