Installation/Launcher/Patches problems...

Hello everybody,
I dont know what to do anymore..
I have the sims 3 base game and a few expantions and I had them all installed on my old computer together with a few more expantions that I downloaded and some cc. I bought a new computer and installed the base game and my own expantions and the other expantions I downloaded + the cc. The game didn't work and no matter what I did it wouldn't work. I tried to uninstall and re-install, remove the cc.. everything. Also the launcher kept on telling me the there is some error with it and must be closed. The last thing I tried was installing the base game without patching it and the base game worked. So I tried installing the original expantions I have but for some reason when I started the game it asked me to put the sims 3 base game cd and when I did it worked as if only the base game was installed!! A few days later I tried patching the game and after it patched the game stopped working again...
Please help me.. I have been trying to get the game to work for the past two months...

CrazyDiDi, what do you mean by "doesn't work"? Is the game not starting, is it crashing, etc.?

It gives out a weird message with "error..." and a number when I double click the game icon (not the launcher) and just doesn't start.

What number does it say? Could you give us the full error message you get? If it's easier, you could take a screenshot of the error and post it.

Also try going through the game problem faq and let us know what happens at each step.
