I have a household in Sunset Valley, which consists of a teen daughter, deceased father (fire) and teen's mother. After the father passed away, I got the "Oh my Ghost!" opportunity, and fullfiled it. (So, now I have a playable ghost.)

I switched households, and with a Sim from that new household, I made friends with the ghost. I directed my Sim back home, and went off in town to watch out for (alive) Sim's teen son who's been in town after curfew. When I looked back at the house, the ghost was still there! (I'm afraid you didn't understand that - ehm, it seemed like the ghost was "following" my Sim.)

Now the ghost is there, when I click on him there's no "Say Goodbye" or "Ask to Leave". And the ghost keeps haunting objects in my house! Also, he's exhausted (very tired) - and I've tried to make him go away by constantly clicking on him to Wake Up when he falls asleep on my couch. But no help.

What's going on?

Have you tried switching back to the ghost's lot and sending him home that way? Or does the game think he's moved in with the other family?

Oh, you darn Ghost!

Anyway, I haven't tried that. But, I don't have Story Progression nor Aging enabled, so I'm not really sure that'll work. Posting back the results in a moment.

What do you think by does the game think he's moved in with my household? How do you find out about that? (I'm guessing from the relationships panel. Talk to you later, off I go see what happens in-game.)

ETA: It worked! Thanks a lot. :)
