So I've finally installed all the CC I needed (it's quite a lot) and decided to play The Sims 3 for the first time in a year. Anyways, anytime I click the "Play The Sims 3" button in the launcher, the launcher disappears (as normal) but the game never shows up. I've tried several times but nothing happens.

My friend said it happens if you have too much CC, is this true? If so/not, how do I fix it?

General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue.
Please post a Quick summary of your System Specs
Instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specs.
Please Do NOT post your complete DxDiag report in your thread.

Sims 3 - Game Problems
Please go through this FAQ and follow the instructions, doing each step in order and not skipping anything:

Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem
Most issues with the game can be resolved by following those steps.

Does it still do that if you bypass the Launcher? Game Help:TS3 Bypassing the Launcher

You definitely should test on new user folders and vanilla settings to confirm if it is CC or not. Do the Game Problem FAQ linked above.

If still crashing after following both those FAQs, than there's a longer Crashing Checklist you can work through - you'll find the link in my signature. If, by the end of the Crashing Checklist wiki, the crashing is still occurring, we need the info asked for in that FAQ. Be as comprehensive as possible, please. If you get stuck or have questions on the checklist's steps, please feel free to ask questions.
