Hello everyone!

I have done lots of re-colours of outfits using Paint, which worked fine except that they look a bit weird due to not having any creases etc.

So I downloaded GIMP, and followed a tutorial from here. http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=182614 It seems to be a written for a much older version of GIMP, but everything went fine until I had to save (step 20).

If I just save by clicking 'Save', the project does not load to Bodyshop at all, it just shows up as the original item (eg. a green dress re-coloured blue will just show up as the original green dress).

If I save by exporting, as I am told to by a dialog box which pops up, loading the project crashes Bodyshop.

I have fiddled with it for ages and am completely stuck. Please please help me if you can, I'm so disappointed!

Specs:
Computer name =ALISON-TOSH
Operating System =Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Language =English (Regional Setting: English)
System Maufacturer =TOSHIBA
System Model =Satellite C660
BIOS =Phoenix SecureCore Version 1.80
Processor =Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU P6100 @ 2.00GHz (2CPU's), ~2.0GHz
Memory =6144MB RAM
Page file =1843MB used, 10031MB available
DirectX Version =DirectX 11

EDIT-Found a solution, after some more fiddling. After exporting, open in paint, 'Save as' and exit. It will now show up in Bodyshop! I am leaving this here in case anyone else has had the same problem. Thanks for reading!

I know you have a solution, but this might be an easier way... You usually can't just click save, because the default file type is not the same as what bodyshop files are saved as. I can't open my bodyshop right now because I'm having my own issues, but I'm preeetty sure you save as .bmp. Check the file extensions yourself to make sure. You should get a message asking you if you want to replace the current file, say yes. Also, don't forget to click the refresh button in bodyshop.
=D Hope that helps.

Aah thankyou for answering. I meant to put 'Save as'.

What are your Bodyshop issues if you don't mind me asking?

My bodyshop issues were probably due to the boot virus I had on my hard drive... Ended up having to wipe everything and start over. Thankfully, I had most of my downloads saved on an external hd. Still, not fun.
