Hi there! You are currently browsing as a guest. Why not create an account? Then you get less ads, can thank creators, post feedback, keep a list of your favourites, and more!
These are the rubrics that MTS staff use for evaluating TS3 Pet Markings shared here.
The title above the post text controls the rubric's category, a number indicating its display order in the list, and its title, with no spaces between the word and the dividing | character: Category|Display Order|Title
Titles that begin with ** are rubric items that will not apply to every upload (a rabbithole does not need to be recolorable for example) and thus can be set to N/A by the moderator when evaluating an upload. Links below the title are provided to the creator along with the rubric reasons and are links to the appropriate section of the guidelines, relevant tutorials, etc.
In the post text, the numbers at the beginning of a line indicate the star rating for a particular rubric item, with a possible 1 to 5. Exactly how these numbers are used will vary based on the type of rubric item... Is it a "was it done right? yes or no?" type evaluation which would have only 1 or 5 as options? Or a matter of quality that will be more of a sliding scale including 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Or something else?
A dividing | character can be given at the end of any one of the 1-5 star items to give a link that is relevant to that item.
Note to moderators: This first post (the summary) must be maintained manually. If you delete or add a rubric item or reorder anything, please edit this first post. All edits to Common Rubrics requiring editing its summary must be manually updated on every single individual rubric thread. Please copy the # link to use in the summaries, not the post number, to view the individual post.
1: The markings uploaded do not appear to have any fur texture around the edges. To make markings look realistic and natural, make sure to create a subtle fur texture.
1: The textures of the markings appear unusually pixellated or blurry. Make sure that you are saving the textures in the correct size and format, for maximum clarity.
2: There is some fur texture on the markings, but it appears to be a bit blocky or a tad bit unrealistic.
3: These markings have adequate textures! Yay!
5: Your markings are crisp with nice fur textures and no blurriness to be found! Excellent work!
5: Your fantasy or non-realistic marking has no need for fur textures and otherwise looks great!
1: The markings uploaded appear to be completely translucent. Because the game has a built-in opacity slider, the markings do not need to be translucent.
2: The marking uploaded has some opaque parts, but is largely translucent. Because the game has a built-in opacity slider, the markings should be at least mostly opaque.
5: Your markings are mostly opaque so they work fully with the opacity slider! Well done!
1: This upload features a coat made in Create-a-Pet using preexisting markings and regions. Uploads in this section need to be truly custom markings and regions, made using modding tools and image editing.
5: Your upload features custom-made markings and/or regions. Yay!
1:This marking is a symbol which seems to have a very limited number of potential uses. Markings should be versatile, and useful for different kinds of pets.
3:The marking is very specific to a particular style or fandom, and is likely to have a somewhat limited number of potential uses.
5:The marking is very versatile and could be used for many different pets. Wonderful!
1: All markings/regions need to be shown at least once on a plain pet with no markings/regions other than the one being uploaded. Make sure the marking/region you want to feature contrasts well with the pet's colour.
2: You have included a screenshot of the marking/region on a plain pet, but the colour combination of the pet and the marking makes it difficult to see. Please take a new screenshot with colours that contrast more strongly.
5: You've included the necessary screenshot on a plain background, thanks!
1: In the description for each marking uploaded, please include the number of channels it uses, and which species it is enabled for.
2: Please update your upload description to include the number of channels each marking uses.
2: Please update your upload description to include which species each marking is enabled for.
5: You've included the number of channels and species for every marking uploaded, good job!
