This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3
Default Resource.cfg
I accidentally changed my resource file into a notepad, can anyone help? Because none of my packages work now....

Probably easiest to just download that one and replace yours.

Not if you delete the old one and download that one, it won't be... It will be a .cfg file, not a .txt file. Maybe your Windows will have associated .cfg files with Notepad, but that's not a problem. All the game cares about is that it is called Resource.cfg and has the right contents.

i think i know how to fix it.
Are you sure your resource file is a .cfg file?
if you can't view the file extension (.cfg or .txt)
go to folder options and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and you should see if your file is .txt or .cfg
if your file is called "Resource.txt" only change its name to Resource.cfg. and it should work

sorry, my english is very bad, I hope that it'll help you.
