This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, Ambitions
Default when creating first save for the first time, game loads all the way to 99%, then hangs and refuses to continue

specs:
intel i5 2310 quad core @2.9 ghz
8 GB of ram
intel hd graphics family (integrated graphics, cant find the specific model)
this is the steam installation of TS3, along with the ambitions expansion pack
i have not installed any CC at all
this is my 1st launch of the game, if you dont count where i restarted it to apply graphical changes
i have not created any saves for the game, this is the 1st one

edit: it can load all the way, just takes an excessive amount of time
not being able to use HTML code in your signatures makes this site a living hell for me

no it managed to load, it just took an excessively long amount of time
also im trying to load sunset valley

excessively long = more than 15 to 30 minutes

Try this;

1. Make sure Intel HD Graphics 3000 recognized on your Device Manager
2. TS3 should recognized it as Sandy or Ivy Bridge GT2 on your DeviceConfig.log
3. Try to launch your game with internet connection disconnected, try loading with a new game, don't try to load your previous saved one yet, hopefully steam version can be run without internet connection, it shouldn't take 10-15 minutes with your spec for just TS3 BG and AM.
