Default Creating Underwater Lot?
I have heard that you could create lot completely submerged by creating a roadless lot and then moving it underwater, but I still don't get it and cannot found the original post.
(Note: I'm not talking about something like this https://modthesims.info/d/251648/underwater-home.html)

Also, for that matter is it possible to make lot having different terrain than the neighborhood without terrain paint? (i.e desert lot in a lush neighborhood)

Do you mean more like my house boat lot but building down rather than up? https://modthesims.info/d/550566/ho...cana-no-cc.html
It's been a long time since I built that and I used eedgan's 'How To Build An Island In 5 Easy Steps' tutorial
But the water comes from placing it near a beach so instead of placing a beach lot you are placing a regular lot where a beach lot would go and flooding it with sea water. The lot elevation and beach elevation has to be right.
Maybe it would be possible to flood over a building, I really don't know.

I'm not sure if I could have built down as I never tried, but as far as I know there are those two methods when using water.

No, It more like everything, Including the road as far I'm aware.

This could possibly be something that Grid Adjuster and Lot adjuster could do but this sounds like an advanced technique. You could try playing around with those programs and see what you can come up with. Moving a lot off road is easy enough but moving it underwater I'm not sure if that is possible. Did you see a lot like that?

Both of these techniques are used in Plasticbox's Elsewhere, there is some discussion in the comments about the technique used.

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...

I played Elsewhere for years there are no underwater lots. There are lots that are off road, one is on a small island and the other is around a bend but no building is underwater.

I experimented with something like that:
https://modthesims.info/showthread....728#post4956728

Basically, it includes you placing a lot normally, loading it and saving at least once so it gets initialized, and then use LotAdjuster to move it somewhere underwater. The lot edges should follow the surrounding neighborhood terrain, and when you enter the lot in-game, you might need to adjust the lot terrain a bit.

I wrote something about using LotAdjuster here, to help with removing the roads:
