Default Natalie Kaplan
This is the first time I've tried to upload to MTS,so I wanted to see if there's anything I can do to improve/fix my sim Natalie Kaplan or her pictures/description. I've read the guidelines. I've also checked TSRAA content, and she doesn't have any that I know of. Please give me honest feedback. This sim is saved with default skin but with other CC shown. This is the description I'm going with: Natalie Kaplan is an ambitious Sim who aspires to be an Ilustrious author. She is a teacher by day and writes romance novels at night and on the weekends. Her traits are flirty, ambitious, nuturing, vegetarian, and bookworm. I have Supernatural,Generations,Ambitions,University Life,Into the Future, and Town Life, but she only has custom and base game content. CC: Thanks to all CC Creators
I used jonha's sliders to make this Sim. Download them here: http://modthesims.info/d/378416
I also used this height slider by CmarNYC : http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=508972

Aw I think you got it wrong, this page is where you post sims for upload. Here, have a bunny.

edit: Oh, I got it wrong. Pictures would be useful for feedback.

For starters, could we see a picture of the sim? :D

If I may make a suggestion--it will be significantly easier to critique your sim and assess changes if you upload your photos directly on site. You can do this by clicking the "go advanced" button under the quick reply box and uploading image attachments.

Okay. As a general rule, it's best to present a sim in a neutral room with no windows. Removing the exterior windows helps significantly with the lighting on their face. Your best lit photo is the one of the swimsuit. All of the others are pretty dark, including the facial close-up, which is arguably your most important shot.

In photo 2, your set-up of the plant, easel, guitar and old-fashioned wallpaper / photo is nice and makes the sim seem "vintage." The objects are a bit too spaced-out though, because you're taking photos from different angles to try to fit them all in. Try using "moveobjects on" and alt-sliding the easel and guitar so that they're positioned closely together. You can do the same with the plant and an old-fashioned chair. It'll make the room's setting look more pulled together. I would suggest moving the Pose Player from its current position. There's nothing particularly wrong with having the Pose Player in sight, but as your backdrop is vintage, it's a bit distracting.

Two things to avoid: taking photos with a wall cutaway (photo 3) and random thought bubbles (3, 6). You can turn the thought bubbles off by using the "hideheadlineeffects on" cheats. Again, sometimes the thought bubble suits the sim beautifully. If they're just thinking about the sink, though, it might not work as well.

Poses: I would suggest using a different pose for photos 3/4. The pose in photo 3 is beautiful, but it's noticeably warping the dress. The pose in photo 4 has slightly turned out thighs, which is making the texture of the underwear "bleed" out. There's a metric ton of poses available all over the internet for modeling photos, and many are designed to be used with long dresses. Don't settle for using ones that don't show off your sim well.

Photos: Most of your photos are taken from a substantial distance, use the "tab" key and the arrow buttons to zoom in a bit more. This is especially important for the facial shot, because a good facial sculpt is what gets sims accepted here. And if the mods can't see it, they won't review it.

Hopefully this advice gives you some additional ideas for tweaking your photography setup and theme. Don't forget to include a good, well-lit face shot!

I accidently deleted some of her makeup, but other than that I think these look better. Also the wallpaper is different because she was in two different households when I took the other ones and I deleted one of them.

To be honest, I worry about the amount of CC. It looks like all her clothes are CC, which I don't think is such a good idea. Personally, I don't need the clothes-pictures, since I'm concerned with the bone structure, rather than clothes.

I love her body, as far as I can tell - some of the poses distort it a bit.

I'm really not sure about her face, something seems off to me. Now, there's only one shot of her face, and it's only from the front. I'd like to see a profile shot, because I suspect her lips might be sticking out.

I think you could try making her eyes smaller and perhaps making some more distance between her nose and her mouth.

Keep at it
