This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection Lag Help
Yeah I'm not 100% sure how to explain this but I'll do the best i can. Basically, i have the sims 2 ultimate collection on Origin, and it does this really weird thing where only certain things in the game are laggy, like my sims arms, or something my sim is interacting with but everything else around my sim is fine, I've posted a youtube video to show you what I mean. (I purposely slowed down the game to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NS...eature=youtu.be

As you can see, Bella's arms are choppy, but her legs, for the most part, are not. I've never experienced lag like this before and honestly have no idea what to do.

I've been thinking about making a Sims 2 Machinima series or something, and something like this wouldn't look very good.

I'll answer any questions the best that i can.

Please help.

Looks like you have the slow motion cheat on.

slowMotion [value]

The slowMotion cheat takes one parameter: the "slowness" setting (such as slowMotion 4). This value ranges from 0 to 8 where 0 is normal speed and 8 is the slowest speed.

try setting it to 0.

If the cheat isn't on, what are you running the game on? Computer specs?

I turned the slowmotion cheat on so you could see the choppyness clearer. Are their limbs supposed to be choppy and... jumpy, like that?

I think we need to see it at normal speed. Do you have any mods? Have you done the graphic rules and do you have the 4GBT patch?

In my experience, this is the easiest, but read carefully to make sure it suits your setup, backup, etc.

ICad posted this and I found it very helpful. You can find out if you are already using the 4GB and so don't need it or use it to check it worked after patching.

"If the game runs, go into Documents/EA GAMES/The Sims 2/Logs and look for a text file called *name of your computer*-config-log and open it. Toward the top of that log, in the "Machine Info" section, you should see lines labeled "Memory" and "Free Memory." Both of those numbers ought to read 4096MB. This means the 4GB patch is working properly, and you're good to go. If the game runs, but the numbers in the log are less than 4GB, then let us know what number shows there. In that case, you will likely need to turn off compatibility settings because having those turned on will negate the patch."
