I am looking for a mod so rent can be payed daily instead of weekly?

Cyjon's "Bigger Bills" will collect bills daily instead of weekly. Be sure to also get his "Loan Jar" so you can adjust the amount of the bills if necessary. Cyjon's "Lot Debugger" (pizza box) will display the amount of money charged for the bills (among lots of other useful functions).

Why does the landlord hang around the place all day anyway? I'm a landlord in real life, and if I did that to my tenants I'd get arrested!

In all the places I've ever lived the landlord was never the one to come out. Rent was mailed or if it was late then it was up to us to get it to them. If somethin was wrong a worker came out to fix whatever issue there was. And NEVER .. did they bring pizza over.... I'da remembered that one as I love pizza :P

Ah, well I assume your landlord is richer than me, and actually pays someone to handle all of the repairs and stuff. Me, I have to go over there and hit that bathtub with a spanner myself until it's fixed. And usually, I don't bring pizza, but I did once have a tenant leave about 3000 empty pizza boxes replete with mouldy pizza crusts.

It is possible for bills being payed every day. Is it possible for rent too?

Please forgive my ignorance, I guess I don't play apts that much, but aren't they the same? You put it in the mailbox same as bills .. no?

I'm sorry that I mis-read your original post. I don't know of many mods that deal with apartment rent. I did find one by Inge that will apparently charge nightly rent, but it looks a bit complicated to configure and you have to set up a playable landlord for it to work (I don't think you have to play the landlord once you've got the mod set up). This mod will apparently allow you to pay/collect rental fees for ordinary residential lots, University dorm rooms, BV hotel rooms, and AL apartments.

Monique made something similar, but she disappeared from the community years ago and her mod was never updated past OFB. IF this mod works, it will probably only work with residential lots. Use this one at your own risk - there appear to have been several people having problems with it in an AL game. (You may have already tried this one - I see you posted in the support thread back in 2011.)

I have both already in game. I don't have (notable) problems with Monique's mod.
But I don't use it in default apartments in Maxis' system.
I really look for a mod so that when using maxis' rental system the rent has to be paid daily.

Hi there! I don't think the exact mod exists unfortunately. However, it should be possible once you find BHAVs for when rents are due and modify these for each day but you also need to consider how the cost needs to be changed since the rent is weekly by default so the rent is too much if it's scheduled to every day unless you somehow decrease the rent to 1/7 times the original rent. There hasn't been any demand for it. I'm not an expert in modding but perhaps someone can help out? Only if they want to spend time dabbling with it though.

Just to clarify: Are you trying to make the rent vastly more expensive, or to divide the regular rent by seven so Sims aren't paying for a whole week upfront when they might be moving out after three or four days (or just don't have the money upfront)?

For the former, you could use the 'Donate' feature on Monique's computer. For the latter, you could use Cyjon's loan jar, with the interest at its lowest setting (1%), borrowing just enough to pay the full rent upfront, then being very strict about paying 1/7 of the amount owing from the jar each day. If your Sim moves out before the week is up, you can delete the loan jar and it deletes the remaining debt as well, so they would have paid only for the number of days they were resident. Your Sims might end up paying slightly more than the fixed weekly rate because of interest and rounding errors, but realistically you would pay higher rent on the same property if you were paying daily rather than weekly. Or you might be able to use the familyfunds cheat in the same way, which would be more accurate (IF you remember to make the deduction every day, which I probably wouldn't; at least with the loan jar you can check the outstanding debt if you lose track), but doesn't work if you have more than one household with the same name.

Calibrat: I've been looking at apartments in Ottawa and Toronto, and some of the Ottawa buildings do have regular socials where the landlord (corporate rather than individual) provides refreshments.

I would like the rent to be 1/7 daily. Not making it so expensive.

If sims own house they pay bills, if the sims rent a place they pay rent.

Bills=Rent for payments.

I have never seen a mod to pay bills/rent daily only the normal 2 times a week.

I mean that for the game bills and rent is something different.
Sims pay bills 2 times a week by default. The landlord comes over only on Mondays to ask for the rent.
I have a mod so bills come daily.
I am now looking for a similar mod for rent.

I guess I'll need to use a workaround then.

Pescado has a mod (ALFixes) that changes the time the landlord asks for the rent to 1900 instead of morning so that vampires don't die trying to pay.

Perhaps it would be possible to examine that mod to see if it's possible to make the rent due each day.

I hope someone can and will. I just opened that packagefile and the hour change is BHAV coded (I think because it involves a NPC).
I don't know where to start if it involves BHAV and a NPC so I hope someone does.
